What I wonder is how far will Gilsellers go.

Will they actually have characters that can craft?

Will they actually go about doing BCNM or ENMs?

If they will.........then things will never change. They would just be normal players but have no life but to get gil (lol, like most of us don't do this at some point in our FFXI career ^^)

well actualy i remember gil sellers that would only craft. although then only made arrowwood lumber and harvested the logs. they were the only names for arrowwood lumber stacks usualy <.<

Monopolizing NMs is one thing, doing BCs with their own coins is another. If they want to play the game fair, then good riddance let them.

Gilbuyers don't do BCNMs. Gilsellers would just be balancing the equation. There are two sides to the coin here and I think it's unfair to go after some faceless person who is only in business because a lot of the very people you talk to every day buy gil from him.

Meaning that its quite possible that Archer Rings will be obtainable through BCNM, ENM, or even a Repeatable Quest. Where in that case, the price would drop dramatically because everyone will have access to it.

everyone has access to bcnm 50 in giddeus, ( solo bcnm where you choose a chest) an astral rings went from 300k to when i sold 2 for 950k, an 1mil. an thats not the only bcnm you can get them at. so just because its introduced some place else, doesnt mean the cost will plumit,,,

I believe Monopoly will still exist Imagine this... Item Campers camp lizzy/emperor
and kill to let Ex/Rare Rot after a week or two they Charge a fee for you to lot the item...
this would make it worse if every gillseller thinks the same way.
where as the spawn for argus has not change therefore camping argus will be the same cos the speed of entry for it is still maybe 3days 1 peacock

Gil Sellers have bought BCNM orbs before... wouldnt surprise me if they've already tried to BCNM.

wuqi (gil seller LS) farms Kindred's seals while they camp stuff and regularly does the Operation Desert Swarm BCNM on Midgardsormr.

I can't even expalin the BS that will come from this.. Imagine...

OK, gilseller kills argus with you in PT whatever.. however.You either pay for him to invite you into the party to lot...You pay first, he boots you, then what? Go argue to a GM, they get banned for a day or whatever.. blah blah.

Ex2. Your in the PT, he kills the NM, gets the drop. You pay him to lot, ok what if they start having you pay to lot, but they either pass...(a whole nother example). or they lot too.. you pay to have the chance to actually win, this would be a whole new set of spam casinos coming in ; ;


I couldn't think of any more examples... but you fix one problem and you bring in more it may seem

I don't know about your server but they certainly do on mine. We did ks bcnm's 2 days ago and there was a group of gil sellers in very poor gear there trying to do them. And I do mean TRYING! LOL Every time we came back from a successful run, there they would be laying in a pile on the floor or being raised. It certainly was good for a laugh.

I was with GM's on her ks run. It was kinda funny. Especially when one of our members started talking gibberish chinese in /say. I don't wanna repeat what he said in public. Maybe TGM is braver. lol It was one of those moment you felt guilty for laughing in my case.

But, yeah. Basically on Midgard, if you can make a lot of money doing something, someone or some ppl will do it. Like I can tell you about this manthra I pt with... *looks at TGM* oh...uhhh...nvm...

OK so, can any leathercrafters confirm you can craft sniper from the rare/ex archerS?

I think this is great if rare/ex archer rings can be crafted into snipers. What this actually means to everyone who wants sniper rings is that crafters can go get the archer rings themselves and not depend on gil sellers, who most likely controlled the market to make the most out of archer rings. I think this doesnt effect people who want sniper rings as much as it helps crafters and if anything sniper rings might drop in price who knows.....

but can anybody confirm one way or the other if the rare/ex can be used in craft?

oh and if they just made sniper rare ex drop it would screw leathercrafters so bad , dream on...
