The problem I've always had with private servers is that you're at the mercy of the owner. If he decides to shut it down on whim someday, your characters are gone. Especially for a game like Lineage2 where the grind is even worse than FFXI's.

That's why you find servers with higher exp rates. I've always loved the idea of open pvp, I just never knew it would be that chaotic. Shows how our world might become lmao

the idea of private servers is really cool, but like u guys said, its not perfect. my friend who plays RO on a private server has had his char rolled back 4 tiems cause the owned did something and its always obvious who donates most to that server cause they are always given the best stuff. and i feel ur plight about getting bored with FFXI, i just forced myself to level blm but now that i've FINALLY won promy, its fun, so u might just need to do something else til u can have fun again ^^ btw i was gonna play L2 too, so i guess thanks for the warning. and a warning to anyone thinking of playing guild wars, some ppl in my old left to play it, came back 2 months later cause level cap is 20 (or is is 25? can't remember) and it got old fast
