I went to Lineage 2. Final Fantasy XI seems like heaven compared to Lineage 2. From the day you enter the game as a level 1 newbie, is the day hell is unleashed and youu want to smash your keyboard into two. I got to level 15 in Lineage 2, went to Elven Fortress (a dungeon) and got trained, pked, almost every 10-20 minutes. It appears higher level dungenos have also been locked down. To make things even worse, the bastards who pk/train/farm adena say "rang rang pk" or some similiar shit, then proceed to making fun of your dick in Mandarin.

I learned two things, Final Fantasy XI is FAR from screwed over compared to Lineage 2 because of farmers, and secondly, there's more reason to hate Chinese now. So remember everyone, when you bitch about farmers in XI like I used to do, think about Lineage 2...it's a LOT worse!

Hmm, seems you got it bad in Lineage II. If it's so bad, won't you come back to FFXI? ^ ^ As for gil farmers, Lineage II was designed for player policing, so in essence its a PKer's dream. If your not a hard core PKer, don't play that game.

lineage 2 even without the farmers still don't feel like a fun game to me. played it for a day or 2 as well.

Lineage2 like lineage is from korea and some other asian countries which specialized in cyber-cafe style playing. (That's where you get so many accounts from).

Getting ganked and like is pretty much standard culture in those areas more often then not.

FFxi is very tamed compared to most mmorpgs out there...so really, you went from like one end of the spectrum to another.

Yeah i have to say that if you go to a game that focuses on PvP, of course you are going to get pvped! What else do you think its gonna happen? =/ FFXI is a co-op game, and L2 isnt. Its kinda obvious that these things are going to happen.

That and getting more hate out of a game about a race of all things seems pretty sad and racist(like just looking for a reason to be racist). Lame.

Lineage2 is a rather poor comparison to make when discussing gilseller issues.

L2 supposedly is the only game with the dubious honor of having worse RMT issues than FFXI.

FFXI's...uhm...explicitness... is pretty tame compared to what you can find in L2, WoW, EQ2, etc.

Lineage II isn't that bad if you play on private servers. I like the idea of open pvp, but I don't like the idea of getting owned everytime you walk into a dungeon with people screaming "RANG RANG PKPK!". Damnit I neeed to find a break from XI, I'm just getting sick of it these days.

The problem I've always had with private servers is that you're at the mercy of the owner. If he decides to shut it down on whim someday, your characters are gone. Especially for a game like Lineage2 where the grind is even worse than FFXI's.
