LOL Ya the first guide was very brief. The 2nd one is more detailed with better maps but it is still incomplete. But then again the guide isn't put out to give you every single detail of the game. For a large MMO like FFXI that would be an incredibly HUGE guide! It just gives you basics and a taste of things to do or see.

and call it the "Final Fantasy Bible". WITH EVERYTHING INSIDE IT! Be as big as a phone book.

Does the strategy guide even tell you how to beat the game? Last one I looked at(while really bored at a Game Stop) only went up to rank 5.

Brady guides only go to rank 5/6. JP guides are more detailed.

I own several JP guides for FFXI. Some of them are about the same size as the Brady guide we have here and the rest are actually the size of an average hardcover book but with more pages. I don't know about you but my phone book is much bigger than either of those. The JP tend to make detailed guides for certain aspects of the game. So the entire guide is a series of books and not one big one. Otherwise there are guides like the Jump series that touch on beginning stuff or just skim the surface of the game mechanics.

Alla can be wrong a few things. We're actually looking at implementing our own database for FFXIonline to make it a premiere site for info and talk.

Those sites will cover just about anything you need to look up.

Hmm...... so you're saying that Allakhazam.com is a bad site, because it lies a lot? Heh heh.

Everything on there seems to be perfectly reasonable to me. More often than not, I tend to use it to look up on how to do quests and missions, so I'm not too sure about anything else.

One of you mentioned "somepage .com" but I thought that site (for some reason) was a little outdated. But I've used it a few times to look up stuff on FFXl, and again....... mostly a reasonable site.

Oh, and.....about the implentation of ffxlonline's own database - WOW! This sounds good. I can't wait to see what good stuff it will be showing.
