!! I thought Xenosaga 1/2 were both good games, the first more so than the latter (they should have just left it like the first instead of listening to the masses). Although neither of them cant live up to what is Xenogears, which was an incomplete game *cough* second disc game play *cough*. Star Ocean TTEOT is also a good game but ive yet to complete it (at sphere company) so im working on that right now( when im not playing Altelier Iris or ffxi).

You know, it's hard for me to call Xenogears.. incomplete hehe... or unfinished considering it takes twice as long as most games to finish. How many games can you say take the average player 70 hours to finish?

Many of the older games took 40+ hours to complete. No tutorials, no maps, etc. God, I miss the old days sometimes. LOL

They did?.. I can't think of another RPG outside of Xenogears which took me 35+ hours to finish (I beat FF7 no guides no nothing in 34 hours first playthrough).

The quality of the RPGs reaching the shores has degregated to the point I've just started importing games from Japan.

Tales of Destiny 2... how I wish this game had reached US shores... Best RPG I've played in years.

It does take a long time but it still is incomplete. Xenogears was being developed (as far as i know: ) around the same time as Final Fantasy VII. That being the case, the gave more time and energey to Final Fantasy VII, thus leaving Xenogears few resources. If you havent notice, Xenogears got almost no plublicity when it came out. It would have been a sleeper hit but more and more people began to find out about it (inlcuding me much later). The second disc to Xenogears is mostly the story being told and you playing out the action scenes. I would call that incomplete / unfinished.

Yes, they did. But remember it depends on your playing style also. When I talk about taking 40+ hours to complete something, I mean doing everything possible in the game. To me a game is not completed unless you've unlocked and done everything. There are many games that fit that category. But most people whiz through games to get to the end and say they beat it. Same with FFXI, people whiz to 75 so they can say they are uber.

lol, it was flooded? That's awesome. It should be cleaned up by then, but no I didn't hear the news because I was at the orientation.

I plan on going w/ Maureen; no plans to invite anyone else really ;D Let's set up another trip w/ Taylor and gang later though (or sooner, take your pick =P)
