Re: Hmm - Race converter?
Yes, I DO use my PC to play FFXl, so this should work okay for me.
Okay.... firstly, what is a relic WS?
Second.... I have downloaded the program and been trying to follow the instructions on how to get it to work, Click Here but I cannot seem to get a picture up, of any character, in the viewer window on the left hand side of the program. How do I do that??
A couple of the features in the instructions are somewhat different to those in the program. For e.g. in the 3rd step on that page, where it says the location of the .DAT File at the top right hand corner of the program.......
well, in the program I downloaded, the location of the .dat files are below, in the table, next to where it has a list of things such as : face, head, body, hands e.t.c.
So maybe there has been an update to what it says in these instructions.
Thirdly, it says something about swapping .dat files and changing the file names, (I know this bit is probably only temporary for testing) but I guess I'm still quite confused on how to get this thing to work.
Also, you mentioned that I would need to use a pain program.
I have use of Paint Shop Pro, but I don't know what for, and how to use it with this Model Viewer either.
Edit : Does anyone know of any simpler instructions (and more to the point.... updated too) than those printed, so that I can get a better understanding of how to work this thing?

I suggest, if you are on PC, to get the modelviewer. It will let you see the file number for the equipment, face, hair, whatever you would like to change. This is how the we were able to see the relic WS without having to unlock them.
If you wanted to edit the .dats i have a guide but you will need a program such as Photoshop or something like it. Heres the guide's site: http://csce.unl.edu/~ijones/ffxi/
