- There has been a minor change with search which should increase search productivity and speed considerably.
- You can only search for words that are 4 letters or longer. However, some words do not require this criteria.
- Words that are taken as "exceptions" to this rule are job titles (WAR, WHM, BST, etc.) and "NM" (notorious monster).
- Therefore it is possible to perform a search for "WAR" alone and get topics relating to Warriors.
- Although this will increase site speed, remember that the fewer keywords you input into the search box, the longer your search will take (and additionally, your search will usually not be targeted to your liking).
- We will be performing more updates on the search functionality over the next week.
[Scheduled Downtime]
- We are scheduling downtime for tonight at 23:30 (11:30 PM) EDT / 20:30 (8:30 PM) PDT.
- Downtime is to optimize search tables and to perform routine maintenance on the server itself.
- Expected downtime is less than 30 minutes. A notice will be posted on the "forums closed" message should maintenance have to be extended. Thanks for your patience.
