    Just saw this on the Official FFXI site, noticed it wasnt posted here yet.

    Changes to Experience Acquisition

    The next version update will bring the following changes:

    -Chain Bonuses in Level-Restricted Areas
    Currently, when fighting in level-restricted Chains of Promathia areas, EXP chain bonuses are determined by a player's actual level. However, after the version update, bonuses will be determined by the player's level within the area. This means adventurers will soon be able to earn extra EXP by defeating multiple enemies that are "even match" or higher, just as if the player was fighting in a regular area.

    -Slight Adjustments in Experience Acquisition
    The player will soon be able to earn experience from monsters of a slightly wider level range than previously possible. As a result, experience points earned by defeating "decent challenge" and "easy prey" monsters will slightly increase.

        Yep, sounds like pretty good news here too. Can't see anyone having beef with this one, but you never know.

          Sounds great - more xp when skilling up ^^
          Of course, it won't be long before people start complaining about how the new players have it soooo much easier

            Good news for thf or nins who solo while LFG. Maybe 1-10 will be faster too (although it really isn't that bad).

              Its good for Promys and the like as well. Goig through with a PT or alliance and killing everything in the way? HEY! more exp for you! ^^

                          doubt it, they only said slight increase. otoh, soloing 1-10 might not be as painful anymore.

                            I skill up alot, WHM acc isn't so great >.>, so these XP increases on low level mobs will be cool. ^.^)b

                            It's a shame I only have two jobs below 10 though. >.>
