You'll notice how we're using Google AdSense for topic advertisements now - it's designed to bring you highly-targeted advertisements relating to the topic of the thread. However, since we don't control which advertisers Google allows into the program in the first place, we aren't able to immediately block any advertisements which may violate the PlayOnline User Agreement.
So, how do you identify an ad that's violating the PlayOnline User Agreement? Generally speaking, any ad trying to sell you in-game currency (gil) or in-game items completely violates this policy. In addition, any ad that is portrayed in a harassing or vulgar nature is also in violation of this policy. The general consensus is: if you wouldn't do it in-game, then you shouldn't do it here.
