Ehh, it's too...stuck in there with the rest of the artwork to be a hint of a future expansion's artwork. Seems unlikely.

Awesome artwork, though. With the release of Dear Friends - Music from Final Fantasy concerts in the US these days, I'm wondering if Amano-san will ever bring his exhibitions here.

tch, even if he did, it will probally be in some cross country state that i cant get to ._. In any case, that art looks pretty good. the face does resemble anima from FFX but there arent any chains or arms to indicate as such.

I've actually done a search on this, so its being bumpped, muahaha. Take a look at the color of the leaves, the general enviroment. Look familiar to the autumn zone shown in the recent released pictures of Treasures of Aht Urhgan to anyone else?

I would imagine if its not the potential cover for the expansion, its connected at least. You know how they said for CoP, you dont need to have finished Zilart to do CoP, but doing so would help you better understand it. Well, if this picture is infact connected to the expansion, same rules could apply, I wont say much cause I dunno how to do the spoiler thing, but anyone who's defeated the Bomb BC in CoP would have an idea at what I'm leaning towards.
