Hrm, I already have the 4 main FFXI disks on one DVD (made it myself) although CoP still needs installed seperately. So I really wouldn't have any need for this. If you have a DVD burner you can easily make the CD's into one big install DVD .. it saves a decent amount of time and hassel when re-installing the game.

I'm probably going to buy it for pure aesthetic reasons. Same reason I keep blowing money on the useless strat guides. Looks nice on my shelf.

It would be useful if it contains all the most recent updates, so that if we have to reformat our hard drives or whatever we won't have to do that god awful 10 hour update crap.

That EB listing for Xbox360 is incorrect. FFXI's producer stated that he aims to begin the Xbox360 beta for the game towards the end of the year.
