Buy an archer ring each level, then throw it away everytime you remember you already have a sniper ring+1 in equips... + the ammo cost, that will probably add up to 500k?

500k is a little extreme, unless you are doing 3~4k/hr using red curry :sweat: I'd say closer to 250k... less if you use obow, and that's assuming all the PT's are decent.

What I mean is, 500k seems like way too much to me. Let's say you get a stack of Sole Sushi +1, that's ~150k. We'll also say that you use 3 stacks of shihei which are 8-9k each (but I'll go with 9k for this). So that's 177k used so far. That leaves 323k for ammo. Silver Bullets are 18k a stack on Midgard so that'll buy you 17 stacks with 17k left over. So with only 483k used, you are saying that a RNG (at any level) will use an entire stack of Sole Sushi +1, 3 stacks of Shihei, and 17 stacks of Silver Bullets? I'm sorry, but I don't believe this.

Cost per lvl doesn't even really matter. It's the path you choose to walk so suck it up. It doesn't give you anymore rights than anyone else. Other jobs have had so called "nerfs" to them. It's just how MMO's are, jobs get adjusted. And complaining about something that we don't even know the dynamics of is asinine.

Scorpin arrows+ squid sushi cost like 100k a lv +60 maybe even less =p
Most of the time i use sole sushi + scorpin arrows (expect ws or barr = demon arrows )

Rng can be cheap or expinsive its your choice

Your attempt at physics is pretty off. For all weapons, projectile speed is going to be at maximum at the shortest range. Only thing affecting the speed is air resistance, which is negible for the distances expereinced in game.

Err your physics is rusty too, you forgot acceleration. Maximum instantaneous speed is not reached until a certain time from initial release. There is also the weight of an arrow or bullet.

When you talk about damage you're not dealing with velocity rather FORCE. As in the end Force = newtons.

So the most damage An arrow should be dealing the most damage is the (s/t)distance when Force - friction(drag) = Zero.

I tihnk it's something like 4 seconds after launch from a bow where the curve is at its peak, but it's hard to speculate with environment, skill of an archer(the fingers holding the arrow causes different drag(friction) depending on skill), the arrow size, shape, weight, etc.

Of course things get really trickly, like the angle of an arrows when it hits armor, where it hits and stuff. That's why point blank range usually does the most damage, it's from human error, not from physics.

Edit: Of course this brings the question with guns, since they are much less restricted from friction, and have higher acceleration. And if you're shooting at a big target like fafnir, does where you hit really matter that much? lol
In the end, realism takes a back seat in here. Just balancing weapon classes.

500k too much, the range from 200~300k depend on the pt.

SB 10 stack *20k~22k = 200k~220k already

also Demon A 10 stack *18~19k = 180~190k

DB 10 stack * 18~20k = 180~200k



that's only ammo 200k already without food cost or shihei. if you got bad pt then you need to spend more ammo,

It's fucking annoying. I spent millions getting my Ninja to 75 only to have to tank on my Monk because people think using only Utsusemi is acceptable. Here's an idea - take that Scorpion Harness, stick it up your ass and shit out a months supply of Jusatsu, Sarui-ran and Kaginawa please.

lol i dont use the ele wheel unless im lowering a mobs resistance for a spell, or a mb. as for the debuffs. i cast them 1-2 times depending on the mob. if it sticks its the last time i will cast it. if not. i will usually use another one by mid fight.

i think the tweaking really wouldnt matter if we had prices that werent insane. the elemental wheel ranges from 2k-15k for a stack. the debuffs range from 10k-35k. utsu ranges from 7.5k-11k. <speaking for nin on my server> an i know in 1 exp session i go thru half, to almost all debuffs, as with most the ele wheel powders.. i just cant remember what exp was, due to it being 2 weeks since last pt..

ohh well if you feel like balancing out jobs S.E. i know my ninja has no job abilities besides 2hr! when drk & pld have 5.....

No, I remebered it. An object only accelerates while a outside force is acting on it. This means that once the bullet/arrow leaves the barrel of the gun or string of the bow, it is done accelerating and at maximum velocity. From that point on, there is only air resistance slowing down the horizontal velocity and no other force acting on it. It is an isolated system at that point, meaning it can no longer accelerate.

And I do realize force involves weight. That is why I mentioned bullet caliber later in my post. Weight is combined with speed to determine the force exerted onto the target object. However, the weight is going to be a constant regardless of range, so it plays no purpose in this discussion.

Of course things get really trickly, like the angle of an arrows when it hits armor, where it hits and stuff.

That is getting into targeting of weak points which is unrelated to horizontal velocity. The farther it travels, the more downward velocity is gained from gravity, but horizontal velocity continues unchanged with the exception of air resistance.
