I'm sorry, but could you please point out where in my post I made any assumption as to your current financial position in life? I don't see it anywhere.
And would you look at that, within less than 2 hours of Downtime, the Login Server is back up and you are able to Play FFXI again.
I merely stated how much it costs and what your getting for your money, if you'd complain about 2 hours worth of downtime, which according to what you said above (You cannot play on weekdays, and today is a weekday) This Downtime does not even affect you.
Now, I'll refer back to my closing statement. They have refunded us Lost Days due to unforseen Downtimes in the Past, so its quite possible that they do it again this time.
So instead of complaining and becoming a problem for Square-Enix, why don't you do some of the suggestions Macht Said;
Probably the best people can and probably should be doing here is checking their systems to make sure they are not a host attacking POL.
