I couldn't find much solid info on the Al'taeiu region maps so I decided to do them myself. Anyhow, pretty simple. You have to talk to EVERY Quasilumin in the zone. You may log out, zone out, etc without having to repeat speaking to all the NPCs.
Al'Taeiu - best way is to go as a level one as Ranger or RNG sub. Find Quasilumins, talk to them, get map. -Soloable-
Grand Palace - this is tricky and time consuming but since you gotta go through the whole area to get to Ru'Hmet you might as well get it done the first time. Talk to every Quasilumin. There are 5 "towers" you have to go through. Each tower has 2 Quasilumins: one on the top level, and one on the bottom level. There may be some additional ones in your path that you can't miss, but the main ones are the tower lumins. -3 or more people recommended due to escort quests-
Garden of Ru'Hmet: I did this one solo so it was a major pain in the ass. There are I believe 10-13 Quasilumin in the zone. The main ones are hardest to get though. Each of the 5 "spires" has a Quasilumin on the 3rd floor (floor before Ebony Panel). They are not in the same spot in each tower. There are 3 Quasilumin on the main bottom floor (area you zone in near). You can get them easily as a level 1 or if you are good at avoiding aggro you can get them solo:
One is near G-8 on the floor near a flower. One is directly straight from the zonein.
One is on the top of the ledge at I-10. Use the southeast door to get there. It is also near the zonein.
Middle tower: There are 2-4? up here. I highly recommend going with a party for this part since you have to go through the hallways of mass aggro to get here. Widescan helps a lot for these. Maybe someone can lend the definite number?
--Recommended 3+ people or ability to pacify monsters while you run to a telepad--
--Avoiding Aggro--
Balls: When they are in ballform they are nonaggro. When they are in another form they are truesight aggro to sneak. They are mages so they always start off with a spell so they can be trained to a teleporter in a pinch. Most dangerous are the spiders (uber attack) and humanoids (nasty ws).
Statues: They have 2 eyes. A small blue eye and a large kind of design eye. The larger eye is the truesight aggro eye. They spin around in rooms so you can dodge aggro if your timing is on.
Aerns: Non-agressive.
Flowers: Open flowers are aggro to trusight sneak. Closed flowers are aggro to resting. These aren't hard to avoid at all but can cost you a death if you are not paying attention.
That's all you should really need to know to go buff up your map collection. Good luck, happy hunting, and don't forget to check the last Quasilumin TWICE after you think you have spoken to the last (map isn't given with their normal text, it is only after).
