FFXI Story: Putting the pieces of the puzzle together.
That alTulia place is the new sky not yet in game. You see this place in like the 3rd cutscene in CoP. I'm on Ouryu in CoP and the story is really good. Prishe has very dirtty little mouth. The end of RoZ made me /cry longtime ; ;
What exactly happens in the plotline of CoP anyway? Since Fal has been on Hiatus, and left us on a cliffhanger right before the Ouryu fight, I'm really curious...

SHort Summary leading to Promathia Story and the other missions.
Chapter1
of FFXi deals with the return of the shadowlord to Vanadiel , To rain hell on Altanas 5 Children.
Missions 1-12 of the normal storyline.
Chapter2 Rise of the Ziraat
After the Shadowlord is Defeated for the second time, Raogrimms soul heads to Dynamis home of the 3rd and "Final" Shadowlord.
Dynamis is home to Diabolos king of Dreams.
Dreams are often referred to as the Shadoworld.
The "Heroes" after discovering out about Raogrimm and the Surviving Ziraat and Kuluu seek to Stop the Ascension of the Archduke to the Palace of the Gods.
The path to the gods is basically >Romave or Delkfutt >Tulia>al'tieu.
During the Rise of the Ziraat the crystal nexus is disrupted by the apparent death of one of the Heroes. The ascension of the Kid is halted.
The Dawn maidens take the kid and alter his form into something different. (wow just had a revelation!!)
The Crystal nexus is destroyed, Yet The Kuluu King Says to beware of the rising darkness.
That a time will come when we will be tested.
During the Rise of the Ziraat it is said that the "heroes" would cause the fall of Vana'diel to the darkness.
CHapter 3 Chains of Promathia
In Promathia we witness the Results of the destruction of the Crystal Nexus. It is tied directly into the Nexus in Tulia and theres a Backfeed that causes the destruction of the Northern line.
During this time the emptiness attack, They are the Vanguard of the Abhorent one, and the Keeper of the apocalypse.
As you invetigate the mother crystals, Tenzen arrives with word of the inevitable fall of the eastern lands. He seeks to halt the advance of the empty.
Prishe is often referred to as the abhorent one making the heroes think she may be what leads to the fall of Vana'diel.
Everything thats happened in the storyline has lead up to the Chains of promathia.
As the heroes continue there battle agaisnt not only the empty, but their apparent allies, they come to a realization that the only way to stop the empty is to go to the home of the gods themselves.
Thats pretty much the short end so far. if theres an inconsistancy, lemme know. or fill in the gap.
I'm up to PM6-4 for CoP missions. Basically the storyline goes like this: *spoilers!*
The Zilart were once a thriving race. Long ago, the King of Zilart desired to open the "Gates to Paradise". The Kuluu, however, under the influence of the terrestrial avatars, waged war on the Zilart in order to keep the "Gates of Paradise" closed. Somehow in this process, the Celestial Capital of Al'taeiu (where the 5th mothercrystal resides) was destroyed. The Kuluu became cursed as tonberries, and the Zilart became few in numbers.
Fast forward to now. This mystery kid you see running around in each of the Promvions is actually named Selh'teus. He is the son of the King of Zilart. His goal right now is to awaken the god Promathia. In order to do this, he must travel to each of the mothercrystals in Promvion and awaken them (or something along those lines). The emptiness is the curse of Promathia. Emptiness resides in each person, and eventually, it will devour humanity. In order to break the "chains of Promathia", Prishe and her crew are trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. They know that Bahamut is the "Keeper of Apocolypse" and what Selh'teus is trying to do. At first they thought Selh'teus was trying to stop Bahamut, but later on Nag'omolda convinces them that Selh'teus is working with the emptiness to speed up the destruction of humanity (aka Promathia's curse). Whether or not Selh'teus's intentions are good or bad remain to be seen. Nag'omolda intentions are also unclear. *end spoiler*
This is mostly what I got from the story up to the point I am now. Hope it puts some pieces of the puzzles together!^^
Wait... the kid is a Zilart? And the son of the King? Would that make him the brother of Kam'lanut and Eald'narche? I always thought he was either a Kuluu, or some race even older then the Zilart and Kuluu.
As for Nag'molada, I hope he ends up being good. I really like his character, Esta'ntarl needs to die painfull though. Hopefully at the hands of Wolfgang.
Anyway, what about Diabolos? He's the Terrestrial Avatar of Dreams, and the dreamworld of Dynamis, but wouldn't he still be good? He comes across as an evil entity.
Sorry, I said the wrong info. Keeper of Apocolypse is Selh'teus. Bahamut is the one who will bring apocolypse to humanity if Selh'teus awakens Promathia.
To CRTwenty: Selh'teus is not the brother of Kam'lanut or Eald'narch. The Zilart is a race. Selh'teus is the son of the King of Zilart, while Kam'lanut and his brother probably stem from a different family.
Diabolos' role in this game is strictly informational I think. Diabolos draws souls into his dreamworld to shelter them from the Emptiness. He's kind of like a soul-hunter. If you give up your soul to him, you can live in comfort in his dream world for eternity without the worries of emptiness and apocolypses and such.^^
I think the characters in Promathia are wondering why Diabolos won't stand up against the Keeper of Apocolypse and Emptiness. Diabolos seems to think it's a futile attempt to stop the inevitable... but whatever
Yea, but Kam'lanut and his brother were the "Princes of the Zilart" if the other kid is the son of the King, wouldn't that make him a Prince too? I mean I don't think the Zilart had two Kings, seems that they were a unified race.
The Rise of the Zilart storyline is a bit vague for me to remember, but if they are princes of Zilart, then I suppose it's possible they could be brothers. Nothing of this is mentioned in CoP, however.
It is kind of hinted that Selh'teus and Nag'omola could be brothers in CoP though. They went through some kind of ritual ceremony together in one of the flashbacks, which means they could have been friends or brothers or whatever.

Diabolos is a weird entity in the Promathia Storyline he appears a few times even after the fight with him. he Basically is trying to inform yet undermine the heroes by saying that the fight they wage is a losing one.
which may be true depending on how Square does chapter 7+
Diabolos basically created Dynamis in the likeness of Vanadiel to give those who would enter his dream, a familiar setting.
Dynamis is kinda corrupted though due to the 3rd Shadowlords presence and Raogrimms spirit in conflict.
The kid may be realated to them but its not said. as i stated before I think everything we've done in the storyline so far has led up to the Promathia storyline.
Basically from the words of Lion we are fullfilling the wishes of the darkone. So to did Kamlanuat and his brother. Thats why the Kuluu appeared at the end of the ziraat storyline.
If you tie all the stories into one like im doing with a DVD, you'll see what I mean.
Im pretty sure bahamut is not the Keeper of the Apocalypse. He talks about the coming of the keeper of the apocalypse and how he resides in al'taieu. another interesting this is that if you rearrange some of the letters in al'taieu it spells Tu'Lia
