  • FF11 desktop clock redux

Well, I got my FF11 clock today. Here's when I posted about it earlier:

    http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/sho...threadid=42817

But the problem is, the instructions are in Japanese. I was expecting that, but I have no idea how to use the clock.

If anybody here already has their clock and got it working, can they please post instructions? Thanks in advance.

(After people here figured out how to get the imported PC game running on English PCs, this should be a snap. )

Ok, to set the time you need to hold the E-Time button until the time stops blinking. Then you will be asked your time zone which is -19 to 4, this is so you get the Vana'diel time correct. then there is the year which is 2004. Then you need to set the hour, minutes and seconds. If you want the vana'diel time you need to use the /clock command to get the exact server time. You hit the SET button when you want to move to the next item.

To set the alarms push one of the four buttons once to go to that timer, then HOLD that button until it blinks. The first choice is either alarm or timer, self explanitory. again, push the set button to change items. Next comes V (vana'diel) or E (earth time) , again self explaintory. Then you set the time with the arrows. You know the alarm is on when it says T1 on the screen.

This is really bad, i know. I'm doing this all from memory.

I posted this a little while ago on allakhazam. There's a 'sort of' review and instructions near the end after I'd figured things out. I'm pretty comfortable with it now if you have other questions. Hope this helps. <(^_^)>

Thanks for all your help. I got my clock set perfectly when I realized that the time zone is plus or minus where you are from Japan and not UTC. I'll be sure to try out the other features too. Thanks again!

Ok I understand how to set the earth time, and I understand how to set alarms and countdowns, but how the heck do I set the vanadiel time? I have held down the V-time button a whole lot but nothing ever lets me set.

Also, when I press the v-time button it shows me a number like 950 which I suppose is the year, but then I press it again and it says 724...what does that number stand for?

SO basically I need to know how to set the V-time :S:S:confused:

When you set the earth time the vana time auto sets itself. That's why you need to know what time zone you are in. Get it as close to the second as possible (might take a couple of attempts). The 724 is supposed to be 7/24...it's the vana date... 7/24/950.

I have my earth time set to the second and it is still off. I chose -5 as my time becuase I am EST. Did I make a mistake?

What do you mean does it really work for NM? It has countdowns so if you know when the NM is going to pop you can count down to it....

Also, yeah, there are limited edition and kind of hard to get so I think I'm going to sell mine on ebay, I just bought a radeon x800 and it put me down quite a bit.
