  • Job sexism, do you notice it?

On Fenrir the most dramatic example I can think of is the lv63 RSE gloves for taru M and F. M version sells for about 5 to 8 times more than the F version, even when there's about an equal number on AH. There're also considerable differences in price for the other gender-differentiated RSE equipment, though not as wide. I guess this means more taru boys are bloodthirsty compared to girl tarus.

Also certian jobs seem to be played more by some gender, and even by a particular character model. There're a lot of hume F WHMs compared to hume F PLDs on my server, and a majority of hume M DRKs I run into all seem to have the same head.

Well there definitely are a lot more male characters playing the game. This has obviously got to be the reason, if you ask me.

Maybe there is just more guys than gals.

Higher Male clothing prices just means there are more demand for that paticular piece of clothing so sellers can charge more.

To me, there is no other explanation.

yeah... there's a psychology to this, and i could explain it in a 2 page esssay, but that's too much work
generally, people pick what they want to be, and certain job roles go with certain race/gender roles in society.
so yeah, there definitely are more M characters being DRKS, and more F characters being WHMs

Walkman: supply and demand is Siven's example and evidence for his point.

tarutaru RSE is made for tarutaru that melee.
more male tarutaru buy their RSE than female tarutaru, despite equal amounts being available.
thus more male characters want to be melee.
although it's possible that male tarutaru mages don't generally know what they should be wearing, or that female tarutarus generally quest for the equipment instead. [edit] or maybe you are right about there being more male tarus than female tarus [/edit]

there ARE a lot more male hume characters than female ones. it's natural their gear would cost more.

LOL ... you know, the latest stats showed that on average, there are about 95% males playing MMORPGs and only 5% females. It might be slightly different in WOW, where female representation is higher, but not much higher (10-15% are female players)

That means, if you run into a female character, 95 times out of 100, it is played by a male.
