My static for my whm had a bard. Everything was good. Then one day the bard couldn't make it and we got a rdm and we rocked. Only difference was the rdm, otherwise same people, same jobs, same location. Personally I believe the person playing the character > the job. I've had bad bard pt's and good ones. Same can be said about all the other jobs too.

i like to think of myself as a good blm, i've been told i was. i try to keep my mp above 300 MP but sometimes theres just no way around it lol. most of my parties don't have a brd. in fact, i haven't pted with a brd since my early 40s, and i'm 55

The 1 year old thread takes 2400 "die thread die" damage.

              Ifrit defeats the thread.

Jeez Tazirai! This is like a zombie from a horror flick...

To anyone relatively new to the game, take all the previously posted opinions with a huge grain of salt. FFXI has changed a lot since these opinions were posted (but if I were honest, I'd say that, level for level, my BRD got significantly more XP per hour than my WHM ever did, on average).

It's like watching a bad horror flick were it's obvious the enemy is stabbing a dumbie and yet still you can't take you eyes away from it O.O

Guess that is Raqua's problem >.>

lol being a blm i never had a bard in pt untill i switched to drk then i went back to blm and got my first brd in pt at lvl 43 and i have to say they really help keep mp up then i went back to drk and realized after lvl 15 ppl were subbing blm for brd and i have to agree brds are better at lower lvl but at higher are = to blm. I think both are a good choice ^^

Still think nothing beats a monster with Weakened defense and a party with Minuette IV on them. Oh it's just murder on that poor monster.
