someone needs to lower poison dmg or get some antidodes on the market

ya so i attack this "easy prey" crawler. right before its death, that SOB casts poison on me.....2 min later imn dead from 60 pts of poison dmg.

that happened twice too and i havent touched a crawler since, because i cant find antidodes anywhere. there are none on AH, and i have no idea if tehre is a potion store in windurst

I think there are potions that cure poison, but i could be wrong since i have no need them. I am a white mage and i cure poison! If you can't heal posion yourself, don't hunt things that poison unless you have a white mage nearby.

There are "antidotes" in the game, but if you can't find them in AH or anywhere else, you might have to make those yourself through the Alchemy guilds.

San'dorian Grape + Wijnruit + Distilled water + Water crystal = Antidote

Actually there are a few random NPC's here and there that sell Antidotes for poison. They are actually just called plain "Antidote" and cost abotu 310 gil. Kinda hefty but you only need them for emergancy use anyways.

Lizards have BY FAR the worst poison.

Plague Breath.

Have fun dying, never fails. Its somewhere around 190hp of damage. Ya, nothing under lvl 14 is gonna survive that after fighting a Mist Lizard for some xp.

1000-3000 was most likely for a stack, and even at 3000, should still be cheaper than a store.

But Nyanya found an NPC that sells antidote.

In West Sarutabaruta there is an outpost. Next to the War Wizard there’s another NPC who sells various potions, including antidote for 300+ gil. So now Nyanya always carries one bottle of that with her in case some vile poison brings her close to death. Saved my life half a dozen times already.

Also the general store near the AH in Windurst Woods sells antidote potions.

I died last night next to outpost from Mandragora poison, I thought I won't buy antidote I will be ok. Got poisoned, ran to outpost went to buy potion, inventory full!!!!! Doh! By the time I had sorted inventory, I bought the poition, just went to use it and died! hehehe, still i had to go back to town anyway to complete the to catch a star quest!

They are sold at the outpost in valkrum dunes as well. You'll need to be a San D'Orian citizen though I think. Price is about 300 gil

Actually, poison damage seems about right to me. It seems like a lot of the poisoning mobs (but not all) are non-aggressive and avoidable. I will agree that Plague Breath is just plain evil but so far I have been able to avoid that as well.

I took up alchemy specifically because I got tired of having over 200HP after a fight, and poison still killing me. It really is a bit rediculous.

I agree...I got all the way to the highlands from San D'Oria and I thought "hey, why not, I'll get a bit of exp while I'm here" and Plague Breath took 140 damage outta me to kill me...

that's where I made a class change to become a White Mage.
