I'm surprised at the stuff that SE catches and misses as far as usernames.
There was a guy that had a mule named fuzzypinktaco that was around for more then a year.

Re: Omgwtfbbqkitten
If it wasn't fuzzy I might agree.
There's a guy on my server named Crotchpheasant.
Why are we talking about character names, anyway?
If I ever grilled or barbecued, I would totally get that apron.

Re: Omgwtfbbqkitten
I mentioned character names because of the fact that omgwtfbbqkitten has been able to use the name in game. I know SE has cracked down on names like WTF and STFU in the past. It was just a commentary on the unevenness of SE's policy controls. Just my rambling brain being bored at work I suppose.

Re: Omgwtfbbqkitten
There's a character on my server named Hellostfunoob too. He showed up a couple months ago and he's still around, so either they laxed up on enforcement or people laxed up on reporting.

Since the people controlling it are also GMs for EQ and all there have been names in EQ as well they let slide by, in most part because the name being a bad word or derogatory meaning of a female anatomy was done in another language. They've knowingly allowed them to stay simply because no one ever reported them, and no one reported them likely because the ones that would don't know that words meaning.Last edited by Macht; 12-08-2006, 12:37 PM.

Through open beta, there was a BLM named Killwhitey. They let that one slide for quite a while. I ~believe~ I've also seen a Windurst Bazaar of Slipperynwet, or something along those lines. That one shocked the heck outta me.Odude

Re: Omgwtfbbqkitten
Just an exercise...
How many people in your server have:
Sepheroth~ (either different spelling or additional letters)
Dark~ (any versions of names with the word dark in the beginning)
Death~ (any versions of the names with the word death in the beginning)
Just curious really? I usually find 3-4 Sepheroths and maybe 6-7 Dark~ something...

Re: Omgwtfbbqkitten
That apron is SO mine.
I've talked to GMs on two occasions about various issues I've had in the game. In both instances, there were no objections to my name, one of them seemed to think it was rather endearing. Most people tell me it makes them laugh or smile, while only a humorless handful seem to object to it.
There are 2 other Omgwtfbbqkittens accross all servers, they're level 1, which was what mine actually started out as, too. But the difference now is that I'm a level 75 Ranger.
The full name is actually Ophelia Marie Gwen Wendy Teresa Fran Brenda Barbara Quilla Kitten Banana Fanna Fo Fesca the Third. I had to abbreviate it.
Seriously though, It's a term used to mock 1337sp3akers. And actually, my prior handles in other games and forums was Mock.
It would take a really sad, pathetic and uptight person to report such a name, especially in the face of names like Zoulzodomizer (previously Soulsodomizer) running around on my server.
