Ok a veteran friend on mine just started his PLD and got into a low level PT of 10-12. He ate boiled crab and right away got bragged by this Whm in the PT that he sucks because he's not eating Taco The WHM went on how he ate Taco since level 1 and even eat it as WHM for the MP... This WHM then purposedly not healing our PLD friend who is the main tank and let him die...

Elvaan WHM, Lordvash... He probably didn't even know how bad reputation he has with his PLD that a lot of ppl had him blisted too...

Heh, I've seen him around, I never knew he was that stuck up though, jeez. He PL'd my pt once in the dunes, but jebus, refusing to heal someone just because they're not using the "best" food (I preffered shallops tropicale when I played PLD anyways) is just wrong.

I think that you should also include bad bards, today i went to the dues and there was a lvl 9 bard/whm sitting next to me lfg . Wel i know that lvl 9 is a little low, but i didnt say anything, instead i decided to compare our gear (since im also a bard lvl 10 then). He was wearing all lvl 1 gear, including a yukata (<unsure of spelling) for scooping. His only instrument was a lvl 1 maple harp (which is useless), and he had 2 songs. This made me quite mad considering i payed about 100K for bard gear to lvl 14. So i asked him why he had not bought any new weapons, his response, because he was a bard and that he would get a group before me (apparently he did not think to check me before he talked smack), then i told him i was a bard also, and had better equip ( i know it is a bit elitist, but it was needed). This was followed by an ackward silence in which he told me he could macro his instruments (at which point i leard he also had a flute, useless!). Following this i got invited to a party at which point i left him. I believe his name was klein but i cant be sure. Ayy the dunes.

I can't level another job because of the dunes. I just refuse to. I will take BLM and WHM to 75 and thats it.. just to avoid the dunes. Mabey Beastmaster.. since I can solo through the dunes with that class :3.

lol first of all he started picking on me cause i was using tacos as a whm. and i never told him he was bad of anything for not using tacos i said he should try them. Being 61 PLD main i thought i would give a helpfull hint. And your friend failed to mention i wasn't healing him cause of the pl's and the puller got links and they were busy when i ran out of mana. thats how he died. But listen to his retarded view on reality if u like. i was using the tacos because i have a ton of them already and they add lots of def for when noob PLD's lose hate all the time. being elvaan i need 2 astral rings to even main heal. on a side note i am not a great whm anyways but i have to level it for bst sub. but your friend must be right since u felt inclined to try and dis my name some site when i am right there in the game where u can talk to me.

lmao Learn to type please, it was just horrid trying to read your post "Vash." Secondly, my first job as an elvaan was White Mage, and I never needed astral rings to main heal in Valkurm Dunes, nor anywhere else.

Seems strange, apparantly even with 2 astrals and a PL he still couldnt keep his MP up enough to throw an emergency cure. Dont take this the wrong way, but it doesnt seem like your side of the story makes a lot of sense Lordvash. Still, I don't judge people usually based on what is posted on a forum, but when they discredit themselves thats a different story.

You could have just been nice about the whole thing Lordvash. How about a reply like "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to not cure your friend, I hate seeing people loose exp. If your friend had looked at my Mp Gauge, he would have seen I was out. Tell your friend that this is inevitibly going to happen". Then you would have been cool.

You touched on that and instead of being nice you said "blow me".

Grow up you Gil Buying Looser. Not everyone buys gil for Tacos and Astral Rings.

You brought up your Astral Rings because you are always trying to impress everyone with your Gil Bought equipment. You have yet to impress anyone. Why is it I never hear anything good about you Lordvash? I always just see you acting like a jerk.

Why is it when I mention the guy I saw as a level 60 Pld with a Peakock Charm everyone knows it's you? Then they immediately say " that is the worst paladin ever ". I want to meet 1 person who doesn't have something bad to say about you.

Well lordvash if you are a gill buyer (even an ex one) watch out. SE has already deleted 700 accounts this last week, so you could be next. Everyone uses food that they feel comfortable with, some players get better results using certain food than others, its just their own unique playing style, if it works, well whats the problem? Well lordvash, do some research before wasting Tacos in dunes as WHM.

A Steamed Crab adds more def in dunes thanTavnazian Taco would.
Look at those stats:

Tacos:

• HP +20
• MP +20
• Dexterity +4
• Vitality +6
• Agility +4
• Charisma +4
• HP Regeneration While Healing +1
• MP Regeneration While Healing +1
• Defense +25% (Cap: 150@600 Base Defense)

Steamed Crab:

• Vitality +3
• Defense +27% (Cap: 55@203 Base Defense)

Mushroom Stew:

• MP +40
• Strength -1
• Mind +4
• MP Regeneration While Healing +4
• Enmity -4

For PLD Steamed Crab is perfectly fine in dunes. At that level for price of Tacos he could buy whole new set of armor (maybe even to 20lvl). As to WHM wasting tacos in Dunes, your attempt at "I better than you dunes noobs" failed totaly. You should use Mushroom Stew. I bet that -4 enmity would work better than +6 Vit. And forget def bonus for WHM, 27% added bonus from nothing is still nothing.

Hehe, Tacos as whm ._.

The only time I remember eating those was during my Maat fight where it actually helped.
As for good dunes food, I stuck to rolanberry pies.
Mind isn't really helping during those levels and Stew is a bit expensive for that stage imo.
Hell you would probably kick me because I use Ginger/Wizard cookies as my #1 food.
I keep my stews for Uberparties.

As for the rest, I completely agree that Boiled or steamed crab is perfectly fine until late 40's early 50's.

As for astral rings... I never had them I never needed them.
Astral rings in the dunes are great if you like to be one shotted because a Cure II can get you hate.
(This has nothing to do with how good or bad your tank is.)
Just learn how to use your MP. >.>

As for that bard... that's just WRONG!!!
I don't judge people on gear or what food they use, however I hate people that say "I can gimp my way through any level because they will invite me anyway."
People like that leave my parties very fast.

QFT! I remember a Kuftal tunnel party where the ninja ate Mithkabobs.
He hardly ever lost hate and we had 2 monks in the party.
(And no SATA)
I also hardly ever had to cure him or the monks.
