Low leveling partying

I have been playing for about 3-4 days now and I am getting to the point to where I need to party to get anywhere, I was woundering if there is a trick to it or what, because when I check there was only like 3 people in the region IU could find but they were all high levels. Can I get some help here or is there any other newbies that want to team up tomorrow??

You usually need to party at around level 10(I started at level 9 as a WHM but did farily well). You need to head to Valkurm dunes, which is the biggest leveling area for level 10-20's. To get there from bastok.

Bastok:
Go to South Gustaberg and head all the way west and then north of the entrance to Dangruf wadi to get to North Gustaberg. Keep going North and enter the the Highlands and just keep going north to hit the Dunes.

I'm unfamiliar with Windy and sandy. But I belive it's West R.>La Thiene Plateu>Dunes

And windy is East Sarutabaruta>Tahrongi Canyon>Buburimu Pennensuila>Mahura then take the ship there to Selbina and you'll arive at the dunes.

How many ppl does the parties usually consit of?

With a bit more info on what job and level you are, we could probably answer the question better. Many jobs can solo past 10 and into the teens, and others are better off joining a party at a that point (not IMO, but many folks will disagree).

Level your BLM to 10, and then check out this guide on partying in Valkurm Dunes.

I'm a level 8 White Mage in Bastok.

And since this is the most active topic, is it normal for prices at the auction house to be so high? A tunic for level 5 WHM with a DEF value of 3 for 5,000 gil?!

Is there any other place to buy low level robes besides the Auction House?

Yes. There are NPC vendors that sell most low level gear for super cheap.

fortuatly there are vendors that sell the gear your looking for

i personally found when useing a robe and a brass hairpin you can useually go to 20 before you need to change your gear out as a mage. gear on the AH is exspensive but thats mostly because the Gil sellers are trying to get the AH prices back up so they can get more gil together faster. my suggestion get a linkshell that has a lot of people that are willing to help out someone thats low level. ill be on all day today and tonight shoot me a tell ill break out my brd and party with yaits a lvl 10 i just need to get gear for it. ill even give ya one of my linkshells
