You're basically starting out, don't expect instant popularity. Just level up, farm to buy nice gear and spells, do missions and quests and everything will fall into place in time.

been on for a few days now...did notice that the population is like around 2200 everytime I sign on...what are the peak times on this server? im about ready to head to the dunes but dont want to waste my time if it takes forever to get a pt, ill just farm, and synth and make money in the mean time

Actually, my statements had nothing to do with popularity. I talked about running into jerks a lot, not about my own social status. In any case, my little conversation ended with StarvingArtist, so no more comments on that, please. I do appreciate the words of encouragement. I just don't like drag-on conversations regarding myself, it's a bit awkward.

Posted about peak times in another thread, can't remember which one, but population floats above 2k most of the time, seen population spikes of 4k and more. Problem with the population spikes of 4000+ is that people will get random boots from the server with an error message about congestion, it happened alot when the new city was opened and it stayed flooded with people for days. During that time there were also some system messages asking people to leave that zone.

Dunes parties are not difficult to get right now, with the 3 new jobs, many people are taking the opportunity to level them or level some job they've been wanting to do for some time. Also there are alot of new players appearing in Ramuh that are pretty rusty and don't have the hang of hate control and end up either cure-bombing, forgetting provoke, or not standing in good party formation for AOEs and SATA. The dunes will always be the dunes, so yes you'll get a party but it'll be a painful experience. Suggestions to help the time pass is camp near KH zone while lfg in dunes. You'll either be able to farm in KH while waiting or solo exp off the lizards and bats, anything to get you through the dunes faster is better.

Now if you have a group of experienced players, you'll bypass the dunes with two other viable camping locations.

There are jerks in every server, it's just part of the game. Of course there are a lot more now ever since the dec. update. (not saying that I ever MPKed someone, it's just people had to watch what they say and do)

I miss those giant trains, made of some pics.

Been on Ramuh since the day the game came out (well not really was on Fenrir first then came over to Ramuh to join up with friends) but like veve said, theres jerks everywhere. the dec. update fixed most of the MPK problems, but the uber trains were always so much fun! whats more fun then getting uber exp then getting pwned from behind by random mobs coming bak from the zone line.

Been on Ramuh since the day the game came out (well not really was on Fenrir first then came over to Ramuh to join up with friends) but like veve said, theres jerks everywhere. the dec. update fixed most of the MPK problems, but the uber trains were always so much fun! whats more fun then getting uber exp then getting pwned from behind by random mobs coming bak from the zone line.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who kinda misses the goblin trains in Kazham... or ending up dead the second you zone into Crawler's Nest by massive crawler linkage. Zone patrol just isn't what it used to be.

*grins* Both me and my brother (Pellet) are enjoying our time so far. We were Elvaan last time around.

And I've already had some good experiences (and no bad). Yesterday Bubbletea missed the boat in order to raise me, and a 44 thief (can't remember his name ><) helped us out with a NM that was proving too difficult for just the two of us.

What's MPK? And yeah, I'm sadistic enough to enjoy trains, also.
