Thinking of Returning to Ramuh
Hi all,
Some of you might know me as Kaithran: 62 RNG, 46 BRD, crafting nut. Some of you might have never heard of me, because I quit well over a year ago. I came back for a month 6-8 ago, but I didn't stay.
I'm bored. Bored, bored, bored. I have a lot going on in my life, but between my various appointments, meetings, classes and committees, I am bored. I wouldn't have 10 hours a day to play: Perhaps only 4-6 most weekdays. But I remember how much fun I used to have with FFXI.
Unfortunately, when I left, I gave away an e-bow, two hawkers +1, an amemit's +1 and other valuables, so I'll likely be starting from scratch. I'd need help getting a selene's bow (hopefully I still have some friends who play and would be willing to help me attain that goal), and aside from that, one hawkers (I am VERY close to 63) and an xbow and arrows and food, as well as gloves and rings.
I used to make my gil by crafting silver bullets. I don't know if this is even a viable option anymore. I know the economy has changed a lot since I left. But I really would like to play again. I have a few questions:
1) What are the crafting money makers right now? Food? Clothcrafting items? Fish? Bullets?
2) How are RNGs viewed on Ramuh? Will I get parties?
3) I've read that there have been changes to the way food works. Is this true, and if so, where can I read more?
4) Will I be able to effectively PT without the newest expansion? (just don't have the cash at this moment)
Thanks for your answers in advance! While I'm glad I could give help to a couple friends when I left, I wish I had just a little gil on my character. >.<; Please, help me understand the current economy a little so I can decide whether or not coming back at this point is even feasible.
