Re: A look at possible future events in vana'diel?
Actually, if it isnt obvious by now, SE had the entire story-board worked out long before RoZ was even released in Japan. It's so obvious how everything just melds together so harmoniously, it can't just be coincidence. I'm gonna study those screenshots, but yeah, that's a good indication of what'll be in the game.
They do not, however, show any notion or indications of other nations. . . But then again, We only exist on a few continents on an entire planet, and just like the Europeans believed themselves to be the center of the world before they did some exploring, it is possible that this game will never cease to expand until there is no story left to tell. But then again. . . It is likely that the Age of Adventurers will merely transform into something else.
SE has a good thing going in this game, I'm very impressed.
Also, keep in mind the names used for places we refer to, even today:
America and Europe are commonly called the "Western World"
The Saudi Arabian area is refered to as the "Middle East"
Asia is refered to as "Far East"
All this stems from the ideology that Europe was the center of the world.
Personally, I think that we are kinda easternish to Asia, but w/e, it's how the world is perceived
So point is, even in ToA, they are refering to the "Far East" lands. . . so I expect this game to blow up in the next few years.
And I'm going to have to buy two versions of the game since I have it on PS2 and PC ._. It better not be more than 20 dollars, or I'm going to have to stab someone. . .
