I did Dynamis Xarcabard last night and someone in my allience had him. I wasn't in his party though unfortunatly so I can't tell how effective the boosts were.

        Looked cool though.

Haha, I can't believe people already got him. I still remember how crazy everyone went back when the first summons came out, no one could beat them XD S-E needs to step it up!

Oh please don't say that and let S-E hear you. They've stepped it up with AV and Bahamut. Besides, there were alot of party wipes on Big D when he came out, so it did take some testing and ingenuity to get the strategy down.

If you want difficulty, go party with an uncooperative/uncommunicative party. I find that the hardest part of FFXI overall, it tests your very sanity.

there are plenty of unbeatable-by-a-full-alliance mobs out there. at least this one sounds like it can be obtained by meer mortals with the right pt^^ lol

So Bahamut is a bitch too? I figured that would be the case, but haven't found any threads yet about the fight. I wouldn't think it could be any harder than AV, but you never know with SE.

                  Hi, Kessa.

Xanetia, Shinsengumi, Hiroleonheart, Zalim, Miramel, and I beat Diabolos (Summon BC) on Dec 13th. It was not an easy fight, but we got lucky with a partial resist on one of his Nightmares.

                  Diabolos's 2hr: Ruinous Omen.

                  Hiroleonheart defeats Diabolos.

                  Diabolos is very tall.

                  Closeup.

Most of his Blood Pacts seem to be average/mediocre, but his ranged attack (Nether Blast) is very consistent and never misses, and his magic buff (Dream Shroud) appears to add between 5% and 8% magic attack. Dream Shroud is probably good for BLM, RDM, and NIN, but I'm uncertain at this point since I rarely use Diabolos in xp party.

Noctoshield seems to compliment Earthen Ward better than Aerial Armor.

Nightmare was just a let down, it's so much weaker than the original. Really, it should get tweaked up a notch in effectiveness.

Well that's a bit of a let down.
