hi... i am sorry that i have to post this topic...
IMT is the only English speaking LS on the Ramuh server... some people like it that way, some people don't. i liked it... personally... i thought that this LS is gonna be different than other ones... people are gonna enjoy helping others. i can't say that i help people out everytime... but i do enjoy helping others... and i often offer help to those who needed. but things change... as time goes by, more and more importers join this server and this LS... helping others gradually become a more of a hassle instead of a pleasure...

Reason 1... people taking "help" for granted... thinking that it's necessary for the high Lv people to help the lower Lv players... i know that most of you really appreciate high Lv people helping you out, but at least you can do something to show that you are thankful to them... and by this i do NOT mean giving gil or items or what-not to those helpers... i mean you can at least in turn try helping the other players who's Lv is lower than you... 2 Lv30 players can already help the newbies to get SJ items... you really don't have to be Lv50... if they are not asking you directly... offer help... and if they think that "nah, Lv30 sux... i don't need your help" blacklist them and tell the others about it

Reason 2... people asking help without even knowing what they have to do. this often involves a quest or mission of some sort. those people who ask for help sometimes don't even match or know the requirements to do the quest... ok, i admit that everyone makes mistakes, but we are all human... we can't remember who made what mistake and how many times did he or she made that mistake... all we know is... "god~ it happened last time when i was helping some person with this too..." so plz know what you are doing before asking for help...

Reason 3... people asking multiple players for help, and one of the person who agreed to help out ends up very pissed off... this happens most with raise... a player asked for one person for a raise, and suddenly another person came by and offered a raise... and the first person ends up very pissed becoz he/she probably had to get off chocobo, miss a boat, do some teleport/walk... just for your information... there's a option to cancel the raise after it's casted on you... so if a player came by and raised you (without asking you if you need a raise) when you have already got another raiser on the way to raise you... cancel it plz... and wait for the person that you asked...

Reason 4... people asking for a raise when they are Lv3... unless you have a special reason like... "i died in W.Ronf and i forgot that my HP's at Norg"... asking for a raise when you are Lv3 without a special reason is just not happening... it's unreasonable, unfashionable, totally not cool, and making people want to throw the LS to the ground, stomp on it and strangle it... why? becoz you do NOT loose any exp. point before you reach Lv4, and even you are Lv10, you only loose 260 exp. when you get KO'd... if you get raised, you save only 20% of that 260 exp... and after being raised, there are 5 mins when you can do almost nothing but sit and wait, since your max HP and MP will be lower than 1/3 of the original... if you did't get raised and use that 5 mins to kill monsters... you'll surely get more than 52 exp... which is 20% of 260 exp... plz think before asking a raise...

sorry to bitch about it... but i almost threw my LS away the other night... i'll add more if i think of something... it's getting late here.

    IMT,

All chroms' complaints are 100% accurate and I feel a lot of the problems are circumstances of timing but can be resolved if people are willing.

First, a lot of players did most of their leveling during the last level cap break. A few of us had nothing much to do but help other players. Some days the first words from us were "Anyone need help with anything" and then we were off doing the first request. This not only has set a bad precedent, but also has put us in a situation where these same players don’t have the necessary experience to take a leading role in helping. Ask them to take you to Fei Yin, Batallia Island, or the Magecite rooms and I think you'll get a blank stare. That being said, if this same group of players starts to help out more, they will get to experience the things that were missed which will benefit them and the LS in the future.

Secondly, in my opinion, if everyone helps those 10 levels or so below them with thing such things as subjob, AF, RSE, and missions that should keep any one group from being overburdened. This, of course, should not be expected help...FIRST, SECOND, and THIRD try to complete these things solo or with a group of your peers (LS or join a tour) and if all else fails put up a request to the higher level LS members. Believe me all things mentioned above can be done either solo or with a PT/Alliance of your peers.

Third, once a help request is acknowledged be respectful of the helpers time. If something comes up and the helper needs to delay for a bit, don’t start sending messages around about how they bailed on you. Most people on the LS are very responsible and if they agree to help…they will. And, as chrom pointed out, once someone agrees to help don’t just change the plans without notice. When you rearrange your real life schedule to help someone out in the game, only to come on to find they are not there or already completed it…makes you wonder why you should even bother.

In closing, things are not out of control…yet. I was very disappointed to see chrom replace IMT as his main LS and there may be a few other players on the verge of doing the same. But, if we try to keep a conscious thought about the points by chrom and those mentioned above…then perhaps we can become the LS we all want.

      agrees

one thing i must say is that
i agree 100% with daig and tamada
IMt is like home to me.
I wish that there was a way we could be so conscientous of others feelings.
Liek the m10 situation It was well planned everyone showed up and we all felt proud at the end and felt we all did a good thign ..
That is what i liek most about you guys .
also theres been times when estya or another has asked me to help explain somethings to new players and what not
      I luv that .
I really liek to be needed and help you guys as much as i can .
I feel like the luv that i got when i first joined from folks like rikapi and vandr and dragoneye were great back when ffxi was in its infancy.
I will say that all the requests for help have lessened to a degree in IMT and that is cool.
One thign id liek tosee more of is the Memebers doing things together .
Liek me taco and GT killing things that could kill us (and the zerker did) I even leveled down ,but it was so much fun ..It made me remeber that this is a game first and foremost and companionship without necessary exp is good .

I have not been in the LS as of late cuz ive been invited into several other LS .One Ls is a small close knit group from japan and i feel proud to be in thier with them guys.
BUT IMT is home , I may go away for awhile but never hesitate to send me a tell for help with anythng .
we gotta stick together in this game.
