Hmm... by those numbers my shitty part-time at my father's buddy's bike shop is earning me the equivalent of well over a million gil per hour. Beats farming fangs any day of the week. >_<;

People are buying because of the damn inflation >.<. When I get to high level I'll make an organization that will be dedicated to crafting items and sell them way lower. Try to do have a greater production than those greedy crafters and sell a lvl5 item for like 100000000000000gil

People who jack up prices for the important and necessary items are just...ew....supporting Gilseller companies like IGE and MOGS. Why?

You make farming not worthwhile when inflation happens faster than someone can farm.

When Cure II hits 150-1000k+, I'm quitting FFXI (again).

I think it's more likely that people were gifted with gil over the holidays, and that is what caused the inflation. Note that the prices that suffered from the largest increases were the most 'in demand' items which sold regularly anyway, but not everyone has. For example, the HQ stave prices suffered a massive increase making them unobtainable for most players. People given gil from Santa could obviously afford certain items, and because they are probably sitting with 10 mil worth of cash that they didn't even work for, they'll have no problem paying 6m for an HQ staff.

The odds they actually sold out are pretty slim.. their just keeping their stash nice and high so they dont run out ^_^

maybye we can look optimistic and pretend someone bought all the gil and dropped it :x causing it to be romved rom the system o.O or maybye someone hacked IGE gil mules and deleted them :x

I have to wonder if we are at the point, where more people buy gil than the ones that don't. I'm sure alot of people who say "gil buying is bad/wrong.. etc" buy it too, just don't want people to find out they do. In a LS I was in the Europeans didn't see as big of deal about it as say, the NA. Of course, some/most admitted they bought gil anyways. Call it a racist remark if you want, just saying from my experience.
