Sorry you had to loose your characters worth millions of gil and have 23498239408234 hours worth of game play on them. I know how it feels and so does like 15 other people on this forum. Just hope that if you don’t start over that you atleast give your items to your best friends/people that need it the most and not just buy items for random people who will just say kthxbye...

Good god that was a long time ago, but im not quite given up yet. I Currently have contacts in japan that can be a reliable source to fix my situation. And perhaps the Cancel your Content ID, Reactivate it situation might work out after all. Ill be back with more information.

Does anyone have any further information on this? I too created my account on the Japanese version, and I too have received the dreaded message that square is shutting off my account at the end of the month.

I tried talking to the US POL people and got a giant pile of "We can't help you."

I tried updating my billing info, but can't.

I tried calling my bank, and they confirmed that the account was overlimit at the time the charge went thru, and that in order for them to pay it, the charge has to be put thru again.

I used the same address that most of the importers used when our accounts were created, and obviously have no access to anything mailed to that address.

I am not going to start over if I lose my account. There's no point. I'm never going to be able to get rank10x3, sky access, fenrir, couple pieces of uncursed equip, a lvl 75 job, a lvl 61 job in full AF, a lvl 55 job, a ton of other 30+ job, millions in equipment and cash, veteran in a craft, etc etc etc again.

My husband's account, which is on the same credit card but is a completely seperate POL account so that we could play at the same time, is also being affected by this.

Does ANYONE have ANY idea how I can prevent my account from disappearing? I need to know ASAP so I can send away my stuff to friends if this is the end. Thanks...

There are multiple on this board who live in Japan and can pay off debt to SE/ fix most probs. I know thats how Midg is getting back his acct. and I also think thats how Maximillian did it.

EDIT: A while back I made a thread on "How to save your account before its too late" and a lot of people put up useful info... and it got closed for some unknown reason (-_-

Thanks.. I read through that thread and I *THINK* it may be possible for my account(s) to be saved. My husband called SE at the number listed in the other thread and repeatedly apologized for his bad Japanese and asked if anyone could speak English. Eventually, he got hold of someone whose English was better than his Japanese.

This person reminded him repeatedly that they do not *normally* give customer service in English (the way I figured it, everyone around him was probably popping their heads over their cubicles to peer at him and going ‰pŒê?H ‰½‚Å?H?I heh)

But he DID tell him that if we know someone in Japan, we can give that person all of our account information and they can call on our behalf to have our address updated in order to have the bill resent, then that person can make the payment for us.

Currently, we're hoping for one of two different people we know on Ramuh to be able to assist. If neither of them can help, well, it's over.

Will keep people here posted, because I know there are many others who have encountered the same problem and many more who likely WILL encounter it in the future...

Just a quick followup...

I had two accounts in danger. One account has been recovered, and the other I believe is, most unfortunately, lost to the ages.

I want to thank the people of Ragnarok, without your assistance I would not have been able to recover either account. Really, you guys had no particular reason to help me, since I'm on the Ramuh server and can't give you any money or in-game help or anything like that. You guys helped out of the goodness of your hearts and I appreciate that.

Although one account was lost, I'm grateful for the help I received here in reviving the other account. I'm also grateful to you guys for even putting up these threads about this situation.
