yeah i play several rpgs online and have never given out any of my passwords or even my account names. i also try to keep my accountname way different then my character or chat names or online aliases. The only people who know my account name and password are my close family like my dad who plays games and my brother. if something happends i can at least go slap them XD

I've only given 1 person my password to watch my plants when I went on vacation. this is the same person who let me use thier account till they got thier pc upgraded since it's graphics card just wouldn't run it, despite it should have. then i had to choose to get my own copy or leave Vana'diel.

since I've known this person for years in real life and not met over the internet, trusting them was easier.

Yes, I have given out my info too, to 3 people I know real live, and have known for oh... 8 years +.

Yea, trusting them isn't hard at all, hell I even have 6-10mil worth of equip's that I've borroed from my SAM friend who hasn't played in about 2 months :X

I've never given out my account info to anyone ever x_x I'd be hard pressed to do so. I'd have to be super duper deperate. And even then I would only give out my ID and password and change my password as soon as possible. Just too many assholes out there. I've heard lots of people crying because of people they've known for years on game and who they thought they could trust. Even a few people have known IRL.

Only 1 person knows my password for my FFXI account and that's me. Ironically though 3 people know how the password to access my bank account online >.>

Personally, I don't share my password with anyone. Ironically enough, I do know my sister's password because she rarely plays and is usually growing plants in her moghouse.

As far is the topic starter goes, I too would like to know the reason why he released his account information to this person.

Just to keep it straight though, the original poster never directly stated that he released the password. Given the use of his words it seems like he's trying to avoid admitting it, which how we came the conclusion that he may of given the password out and so should of expected this to likely happen.

His absence and never posting anything else it does make it suspicious. Quite possibly we hit it right on the head or got really close that he may see no reason to respond or fight a failed attempt to ruin a persons name.

He just didn't want to take responsibility of something that seems likely was his responsibility.

Ive never gave anyone my password and i have 2 on mine. Before i played ff my friend told me there where alot of hackers cause his character was taken over and his password was changed. so he deleted the account and ever since then i am highly protective of my account.

First rule for online(sorry you learn it the hard way)...never trust "females" -- notices I use the term female loosely, becuase you never know if they are female in the first place. Even if they send pics etc., I still don't trust it, sorry.
