Re: Qcdn
I remember my first FFXI linkshell...it was made 2 years before the game came out. It was supposed to come earlier but it got delayed and delayed. In the end only one original member is with me on Quetzy. A few others went on other servers, and many didn't even play. The damn delays killed that group heh

Re: Qcdn
Honestly I don't like QCDN. Too spammish, and I barely see the admin around. Why would I want to post in a place where you get flamed by anything and see nasty signatures/avatars? It's pathetic and gives Quetzacoatl a bad image. There should be a place with more order. QCDN is almost as bad as Gaia Online with all the spam.

Edit: Just checked the forum linked in your sig, total members: 15. Qcdn currently has 3,754 members (that's after Sculli cleared all dead accounts). You are probably just not use to how busy large forums can be, although even QCDN is very small compared to some forums. There is a lot of traffic, but you'll get used to it if you give it a chance and don't get overwhelmed by your first look.Last edited by Rones; 03-16-2006, 10:56 PM.Whm 75 Blm 37 Brd 75 | Bastok Rank 10 | Whm > Rdm

What you call spam is just signs of an active forum. You don't have to read everything, that's what thread titles and forum sections are for in addition to thread rating stars. Only way you could get more order is if the forum had no members. Try looking a little closer before passing judgement. At the very least, it will have more order than this little server forum section could. You want to see bad? Check out the quetz section on alla, now that is spammed chaos.

Second. A forum administrator's duty is to maintain order in any circumstances and to make all members feel comfortable. I've been forum administrator for two years. My community decided to start over less than a month ago and we had a mass member deletion. I know how a forum works, how admins work, how forum is to be administrated and taken care of. I know everything that has to do because I have experience in this. I know what matters of a community, and it is activity, as you know. I've joined many message boards and worked on most of them as part of my training. I have rules, and as much as I love activity, I don't accept the kind of content that QCDN has. My message board is very different from that one. There's also a different between me and many staff members at other busier communities. I interact and treat all my members as friends. I don't feel superior to them. I just try ti maintain order. Please don't give me lessons about forums and how to understand them, because I know that better than many others. Forums are what I mostly visit during my time on the internet. And I spend many hours on the internet every day.
Thank you for responding. ^^Last edited by Naymi; 03-17-2006, 01:36 PM.

Perhaps you visited while Pupusa was running it. He was holding it while Sculli took an extended hiatus. Sculli has been back for about 6 months now and has greatly improved the quality of the forum both in format and administration. If you have suggestions for improvements, I highly encourage you to pm Sculli or use the QCDN Support & Feedback forum section dedicated to just that.
Even if you did manage to move much of the quetz community to this forum you would just end up with a more crowded forum without all the subsections, less moderation, and a larger problem with spam. This forum is great for general info, but it doesn't work well as a large central hub for server discussion.Whm 75 Blm 37 Brd 75 | Bastok Rank 10 | Whm > Rdm
