As many of you may or may not know, I am one of the co-leaders of Transcended. Transcended has, and always will, be run on a "Need before Greed" basis. Items or Loot dropped from mobs are never sold, and always either 1)Given to a member; 2)Crafted into an item for a member. Along with this, we have instated the simple rule that, if you leave the Linkshell, the item is to be returned to the linkshell so that another member may have a chance at using the item. Loot is distributed based on a trust factor, and every time we do give away large-money items, I reitterate this fact. I have never traded a dropped item without every member agreeing to this rule.
Albeit, it has come to a head where I must bring Linkshell Issues onto a public forum to warn others of the greed, dishonestly and dishonor that some people have shown me.
Every member has the right to choose what Linkshell to stay in, and this is not what I am here to talk about. I am here to warn all of Odin Player "Geddoe". Geddoe was one of the higher PLDs in Transcended at the time when the Linkshell killed Behemoth. Two hides were dropped, and I worked hard in finding a crafter to synthesize two Behemoth Mantles for our Paladin's. Geddoe had not been present at the hunt (as can be seen here in a screenshot), yet because of his participation in past Linkshell Events, we had decided that he would be one of the lucky few to get a Behemoth Mantle. As always, when I traded him the item, I reinforced the fact that if he was ever to leave the LS, the mantle was to be returned. Geddoe agreed to these terms.
Eventually though, Geddoe had decided to leave Transcended for Sirius; and of the short discussion I have had with him, it seems he is upset over coming to a hunt and not getting into an allied party because of it being full. I am generally quite busy when it comes to scheduled hunts and getting everyone into parties, and therefore I apologize for not realizing he was there without being invited. But, I find this a very weak reason for his decision to leave, and to take the mantle with him. I have tried to speak with him multiple times, much of which resorts in my tells being ignored, yet he is clearly at keyboard moving around in Jeuno or in an XP party. All I am asking, is that the Mantle be returned to the linkshell. Geddoe has in essence stolen a 1.5million gil item from a group of people that have worked to get this for him. He has lied to me, and to the linkshell. His refusal to return the mantle only leads me to believe he is greedy and self-centered individual, where in-game items mean more to him than values and the respect of players across the server. Geddoe has greatly disapointed me and my linkshell. We have lost all respect for him as a person. Maybe one day he can see his wrongdoing, and return the Behemoth Mantle to the linkshell. Until then, this post stands as is, and I hope everyone else will be aware of the deceit and lies he is capable of, and what utter lack of basic human morals he has.
