Well Known LS on CaitSith

I was just wondering if any of my fellow caitsith members knew of any famous or at least respected Link Shells on our server. I'm constantly mining or boss camping so I don't follow the server community very well. :sweat:

I'm certainly not aware of any dominant linkshells on our server. I'm sure there are some strong JP linkshells out there; they exist on essentially every server, from what I understand, and this would be expected given the length of time the JP have had the game.

Of course, I might not be the best person to answer this question. Since I run my own linkshell, I'm not too aware of what other LS's are out there. I generally don't concern myself with what LS someone is in if they don't wear the green of a Rune Knight.

Just a home ls to do stuff?

A veteran shell, sort of good reputation in the lowbie world is Dark Mercenaries, but I havnt seen them around for a long while.
I have a collection of perls which I know of, but I dont know how large they are in perspective to the rest of vanadiel.
They still are pretty big, but a reputation as being well known is probably very small.


If you are looking at higher level linkshells, they are known as HNM ls, which fight gods, go camp wyverns/dragons, and camp some of the higher level NM's which cant be soloed.
For HNM ls, there are a couple of large linkshells, especially ones which have been running for almost the two full years.

The few NA ls are The Unity, Nintai, Aeternum, Samsara, Exile, Millenium
I only know of a few jp ls, the two most well known ones amongst the NA's are duckn of paradise, and yume or maraboshi I believe, thats their name anyway o.O;

And thats only the hnm ls, theres still dynamis ls which are a variation of shells since the max amount of people allowed in are only 64 peepz at a time.

sometimes i think every NA on this server is a shellholder...
im a shellholder too and ive been having trouble finding members. it seems like everyone i meet has half a dozen ls's they visit often, and even most of my members are part-time members ><
sorry, i dont know too much about other people's ls's tho...

You'll find that towards the 360 release, you will get a chance to populate your ls with new people.

In Sand'oria one day, near the residential area, there had to be at least 30 or so members of the same linkshell (probably more). They were a lvl 65 or above ls, and had a lot of really good members (WHM's, RDM's, BLM's, the works). I was shocked. They said that to be in the ls you have to apply and be reviewed and stuff. Im guessing they are well-known. I can't remember their name though... DOH! =\ =|

uhhh...
okay... 65+ probably dynamis linkshell
roughly 70+ probably hnm linkshell(can vary in acceptance levels)
Just because they need requirements, doesnt mean they are well known. =)

Dynamis entrances are located at the trail markings, there are 6 across the whole world, 1 in each city, one in beaucedine glacier, and one in xarcabard. Each is located by the zone and in the cities located by a residential area. SSandoria, Wind-Walls, Bast-Mines, Ru lude.

Minimum lvl is 65, must have rank 6.
The review itself is usually transparent, it is just to check you over with members, any bad deeds, any pieces of a good reputation, outside linkshell rivalry (mostly hnm related)

Theres a lot of dynamis ls, so many the NA players have to schedule with other dynamis ls, while the JP's have to random against 2 - 3 other ls's at the same time.

Two very large dynamis linkshells which fill all 64 slots in the early dynamis are called crusade and legitimacy..
then there are the smaller dynamis ls's and the dynamis ls's owned by the hnm ls's such as millenium's own dynamis ls, and foooo.

i used to be in HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ;; im in a shell that was created when it broke, Supremes, with most of its old members (alot of senior members left for WoW -.- and others HNMLs' as they reached endgame)

PayItForward is a VERY good LS, but unfortunately they were recently infiltrated by a walking turd. I have not gotten a new pearl for them yet. Leader is Rockra. Smaller, but very good LS is GuardiansofHonor which I have the honor of holding a Sack in. Leader is Dessie, but she has a tendancy to go AFK for months at a time, so no new sacks for awhile. SoloLS-headed by OMC I believe-is EXCELLENT, but you must be a post35 BST or SMN, and they were debating PUP last I saw (ie. you must be able to SOLO).
