level sync is the answer ppl dont bother to find the key anymore they all gimp in qufirm or dune.>< i saw a guy a blm 20-65 in qufirm burn pt.
LMAO
I can't laugh though, I'll probably be gettling levels 15-37 between the dunes and qufim on THF. Jungles aren't really a bad place to level, but there are alot of chances to wipe if you aren't careful. Especially when the Goblin Smithys are out skipping around angrily. Pancake, by the time you get past 30, there will be parties in the jungles inviting you there. That's what happened when i was leveling Blue Mage.

I don't really like the avoiding correct leveling areas, because seriously gimped abilitys are a pain to skill up. I am still regretting now buying a crossbow until level 15, and now that i have it i still dont use it...But me just starting to pick the game back up I use to play before the agro and mpk updates. So it is dynamically easier to save the party with out having to kill the mob.And then you won't get wiped because a party that is bailing from a gob will get wiped and it wont link onto your party and now your all screwed.
Me personally I like partying with people my own level, because then when up we are to high for this place and you move as a group is a past time of mine made alot of friends that way. But its cool being able to party with ls mates that just want to pick up some merits or level a specific job.
Oh but yeah back on topic I think your best beat is trying to recruit people who are in jeuno to just take the airship because people wait in jeuno from 20 up now because of level sync. So /sea or wait in jeuno gather a party and board the airship, because I really do not like that area at all so I don't ever stay there unless I see the population is about 50 people, the ah is not connected to Jeuno and the area is hard to navigate so people just dont stay there unless they have a reason to.

Thanks to level sync and FoV you will only ever XP in the following areas:
Valkurm Dunes only ever fighting crabs and flies even when your party doesn't get any XP from them anymore.
Qufim Island against crabs and pugs even when your party level is too low to get a good chain against them.
Altepa against Beetles and Dhalmels even when your party WILL die if you look at a Dhalmel when at the low level ranges of the camp
East Ronfaure [s] against Lolibri even though passing mobs tend to massacre parties if you camp in the wrong place
Bhalfau Thickets against Lolibri even though they are guaranteed to put your healer to sleep
Wajoam Woodlands against Lolibri even though the only people who ever like Xping against them are DDs too scared to fight something that can fight back
Offensive Campaign Battles though thankfully SE greatly nerfed the amount of XP you get from bashing forts.
EDIT: I forgot to add in Lolibri in Mamook but it would involve actual effort to get there so I don't know if people camp there.
What people have stated is true... due to Level Synch the amount of people leveling outside of the areas Firewind mentions has drastically gone down. I find Kazham an excellent place to gather a group of my friends for partyin cuz barely anyone deems the place worthy anymore, when in fact there's some incredibly good camps there. Gobbies might getcha of course but there's no more risk there than most other places. The dunes and Qufim are so overpopulated now it's I almost never party in those places anymore unless its a LS party.
I have to totally disagree with the people I hear constantly suggesting to newbie players just to skip the Kazham Key quest... everyone initially thinks just about the xp leveling but sweet gods there's a whole crap load more things out there. Can't wait til someone wants me to help them get the avatar out there only to find we need to start with getting them the damn Keys to Kazham first. I will /laugh and /cry... then grudgingly help them get the keys cuz they proly didn't level Thf up to 15 at least either...
Hmmm looking back .. maybe I side-tracked my thoughts on this topic as one o' my peeves.
Maybe I'm just enchanted by the land that I first got to airship to and feel slightly grown up to boot...
Any opinions expressed are my own, and potentially unpopular with others. Should this be upsetting, maybe, read it again, insert smiley faces, rainbows, and glitter as needed.
Yeah... parties have gotten rather disappointing over the past... year or two, I guess. Level sync, while I love it, definitely didn't help the situation. While I used to wonder how some idiots had one or multiple jobs at 75, now with level sync I know entirely why.
That said... the parties in Kazham are pretty nice. I recall a friend of mine who levelled RNG there and got a load of exp every time he went. The fact that people are level syncing to Qufim and Valkurm helps a bit too, less competition and all.
That said, as stated before though... people probably aren't going there because of the extra, tedious sidequest to get access there... even though it's foolish to not get it That, and people probably don't like the... what? Five minute ride on the airship? Something close to five minutes? Impatience >.>

I agree, everybody should have access to Kazham. Sooner or later they'll need to get to Norg to get Ninjorz or SAM-R-I.
I had a friend that had the keys but didn't have the expansion pack. So he ended up like soloing in the old zones for like 7 levels on DRG. He has the expansion now though lol.

Thing is if you don't to the Kazham key quest you are intentionally stopping yourself from being able to unlock/obtain the following:
Samurai
Ninja
Fenrir
Ifrit
Leviathan
Several vital NIN scrolls
Sky
The Divine Might Earrings
Nation Rank 10
Carbuncle Mitts
An easily obtained Light Pact Scroll
The various torques from the BCNM fights in Sacrificial Chamber
The 60+ RSE boots
Joyeuse
O-Hat
Pieces of SMN AF
Pieces of DRG AF
Pieces of NIN AF
Pieces of SAM AF
Well to me Kazham is alot like dunes before Selbina had the moogle. A right of passage, if you can make it through there and arent disgusted and fed up you can work through majority of the game. This was also one of the first AOE status effects mobs that could wipe your party come into play, which is rare because people really do not want fight things that just dont fight and bash away at the player, and is acceptable to almost ever enfeeble. Yuh mandys are a good test of valor for new players it got me back into the ropes when i went there for the first time when i started back up.
edit: i mean people dont fight xp mobs that have stuff like that, spider with aoe slow for instances peope avoid that as an xp mob
Got news for most of you, A LOT of BLMs these days (and SCH too) are burning in Qufim Island. You can get to 75 in a week if you play your cards right. Yea your magic is gimped but you can make up for it...
I can appreciate a real burn party, why can you guys?
I got to be a BRD puller in one of those Qufim burns. The rest of the Qufim level sync madness is meh, but that was pretty fun. I have to say, if I were leveling BLM and faced with a choice between that and soloing, I'd take the sync'ed burn parties.
This is one of those situations where it's all good in moderation; I don't blame people for skipping Kazham on a few jobs, and in a way it's better to have it empty than overcrowded, and it's not like you can't get the keys for the other reasons at basically any time. But when it's all anyone does it's kinda lame.
Ellipses on Fenrir There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs. ,
