    Well I'm Marconus and I'm a Level 7 rdm and i am looking for a clan to join on this server, the problem is i am playing on 360 so messaging is a problemif someone else has 360 and a gold sub we can us party chat anyways if you want to join up post or send me your gamertag so we can discuss further into the matter at hand. Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

    Console fanboyism aside, that shouldn't present you any problems whatsoever. You should be able to function in the game equally as well as someone with a PC or PS2.

      Well on the 360 system i have party chat that fits 7 players in a privite chat room, and the keyboard system on the game is a pain is the ass, also I am still looking for a clan to join so if anyone has any offers please send them.

        Get a USB keyboard. Seriously. FFXI is nigh-unplayable without having one for communication, and most people think that using just the keyboard is the best way to play. You can get a USB keyboard for the price of a hamburger, there's no excuse not to have one. Hell, if you go up to pretty much anyone and make a sad face they'll probably have a spare keyboard to toss at you.

        If you can't afford one, don't play for a month, put the $13 to buying a keyboard, and start playing again the next month. Your sanity will thank you.

                Linkshell. LS.

                Pick one of those terms. FFXI has no concept of a 'clan', and very few LS are clans.

                      Best bet is to just play the game. People will notice when you don't have the little mark by your name that shows your linkshell. If they think you're a decent player, or a sociable person, or completely pathetic and in need of their help, someone will get you a pearl so you can join their LS. That is generally how it is done. Most LS are social just for the sake of having people to chat with and maybe help out with quests and the like. As you increase in lvl and show your skills in your job, you'll probably get invites from event orientated linkshells.

                      If you want to join a linkshell as soon as possible, hang out in the main towns and shout for one. Don't be annoying, obviously, but just say you're a new player looking for guidance and, odds are, someone will help. You'll find many kind and patient people in this game. Kind because we've all been newbs at some point; patient, because SE has made sure that is something you have to have in spades if you want to get anywhere in this game. ^.^`
