Just hopping on to state that it has been very quiet in the forums and I would like to see things liven up just a little bit. Asura has been a great server to me so far and everyone on it has been great and I would like to hear more from its inhabitants.

Yes, it would be nice if the server specific forums perked up. Yeah for some reason Asura just seems dead. I guess it must be the release of a pretty WoW (Warhammer) and a certain adult theme mmo (Age of Conan) turning people away from FFXI.
But hopefully with new storyline expansions life with be breathed into FFXI, although I doubt it will happen unless SE a more user friendly interface for finding and completing quests. I am getting sick of looking at wiki because no one talks to you any more or helps you out with quests.

I have had a different experience with Asura than what you have I suppose but I would like to see more people coming onto the forums and talking and organizing.Comment

The FFXIonline forums have never been about the servers, its more about the whole community.
Seeing how other forums work, I prefer it this way much more, server forums are usually filled with drama on those other places
