FFXI Anniversary Yet?

I play casually and quit for a while, but I've been waiting for the next anniversary event so I can re-sign up, get in, and get that ring to do a little grinding.

Has the anniversary event started yet, and if so, what town do I need to visit and who do I need to talk to in order to get mah ring? Also, if the event is going on now, what's the stats of the ring, as far as the experience boost and how much experience it works for, and how many charges it has?

It came and passes last month if I remember correctly.

May 16th, every year. That was JP PS2 release. The event ended the first week of June, IIRC. We got a Decennial Ring with a stronger EXP boost than the usualy Anniversary Ring. However, you can get a Kupofried Ring that is just as good about every week if you care to go Mog Tablet hunting when they respawn. I just watched it take over half an hour on Ragnarok for another tablet to be recovered after the last one. Not a lot of people are going after those buffs anymore, since the only use for them now is to increase the rate of EXP gain in Dynamis for a few Magian quests. They do nothing for Abyssea or Grounds of Valor EXP parties.
