Welcome to the forum, bud. I see you've already met 2 of our most helpful members and gotten most of your questions answered already. Feel free to stick around here and glean everything you can about the game prior to actually buying/installing it.

A bit of fair warning: The game has been out for 9 years now and counting. Compared to WoW it's not nearly as new player friendly. Most everyone who is playing at this point has already reached "End Game" content and no longer parties in the low level areas. That being the case, starting up alone can be a bit of a pain.

Thankfully, if you did join and come to Valefor, you'd be joining into my Linkshell (Guild) that Silentsteel was talking about. We'd be more than happy to help answer your questions as you learn the game from the inside out. We're among the more noob-friendly people you'll meet.

Other members include Hayde, Raydeus, Cidbahamut and Eligarf... all with character names to match their forum names. Well... aside from Cid... who's character name is Drjones.

Please don't hesitate to ask about something that looks/sounds confusing. A lot of us have been playing for a very long time and it's gotten to be second nature at this point. It can tend to be a little overwhelming when you first start.

OH! PS: Don't get freaked out when you first install the game and it takes 6 hours to do so. You have 9 years of updates/fixes to get caught up. It takes a long time... but it's worth it!

Yeah, it sucks lol, each time I do it (cause I can't seem to stay away... lol XD ) I just let it run overnight or when I'm busy.

I seem to remember my brother doing that, he'd say he'd have to update it at 10pm and it wouldn't be done till about 9am xD Could be cause we had v bad internet back then though, I dunno xD
