Its definately not too late, I just started my character about 1 month ago and am already level 91. With the new leveling systems they have it is very very easy to level up and recieve help with just about anything. I'm on Sylph if you need any help i can give it a try.

While not wanting to undermine your achievement in any way, it's a tragic reflection on the current state of the game.

It undermines the misery I endured playing this game dammit! Subsequent players should experience the same torturous ordeal otherwise they're not going to enjoy the game as it was meant to be enjoyed. Namely with tears rolling down your cheeks surrounded by pulled out fingernails at 4am on a caffeine-induced high when you finally get that drop you've been after for 8 months only to have it drop to the ground because you have a full inventory.

I have had this before i quit a couple years ago, i leveled to 75 before CoP came out. Also i know about pulling all nighters before work the next day.. namely the opo opo crown quest from start to finish for me took an all nighter..

Ahhh.... I remember how long it took to get to 37, and being so proud when I hit it as it was half way to cap at the time....

Yes, but it actually took some work, and you felt some aclomplishment in it. Now its just... "Meh".

Once Abby came out, I was like... Awesome.... Fast leveling.... But I reached the cap in 2 hours..... That was too fast.

Wrong. It took time. And you only felt accomplishment for taking a long time to do it if you value your accomplishments by how long they take, and not the difficulty involved in them.

For many people, leveling is only a means to access content that they want to do. Quests, missions, NM fights, etc, are not a part of leveling, but leveling provides you with access to them.

If YOU felt a sense of accomplishment from taking a long time to achieve 37, then good for you. I understand that you feel leveling should take longer, and if that's the case, were you still playing, you could choose not to partake in super fast exp parties. In fact, anyone who feels so, is free to go and do things slowly. But it doesn't mean that you need or even should cast aspersions about the faster style, or those who choose to use it.

I think the bigger issue isn't so much that there's no sense of accomplishment now, but the fact that it's possible to get to the cap without having a clue how a party should operate. I could be wrong here, it's no secret I haven't played in forever. I'm mostly going off of reading that you can solo 1-30 with ease and then leech your way up to 90 in a matter of hours, excluding limit breaks.

As a veteran player I can say that if I ever came back I don't even want to level up any more. I'd rather have fully capped jobs handed to me and jump straight to the content. The less time I need to spend on grinding, the better.
