Got to 19 doing FoV with the experience boost. Shortly thereafter, happened to get an invite to party at the Dunes as main healer [of all things, lol] as RDM with no subjob. After some heroic screw-ups on my part in the early going, I eventually got a small idea of how to manage healing. Got a better idea of how to distribute the macros on the palette, though I didn't get any practical experience Enfeebling in PT this time around.

The party were good people, and gave me an invite to a Linkshell. I gained 25 or 26 levels in Healing Magic, and hit RDM 22, and landed 2/3 items to unlock support jobs.

Not too bad for around an hour's PTing.

Now if only that 22k sitting in the AH would somehow make its way to my coinpurse, I wouldn't have to use gear 15 levels below the curve...

I've been playing when the time presents itself, now having unlocked support jobs and switched to BLM. It seems like the standard practice for magic-user types has been to level WHM/BLM/RDM each to 20+ in the beginning, so that is the current task I'm working on.

After this, I was thinking of going back to RDM and pushing for 40+, then trying to unlock SCH and SMN.

Is it even possible to solo those two unlock quests as RDM/WHM or RDM/BLM?

Actually....

Smn does require quite a bit of fighting low level mobs, and I mean LOTS if you aren't lucky.

It not that bad, you will have the entire beach to your self most likely, due to the nerf to the selling price of the blood. But you can get some decent money as you are trying to get the gem.

Just make sure you have invis and sneak though. Those two spells will help so much when you are doing it.

Np man.
Also, keep RR up at all times as well. If those two spells go down, or start going down, and you can't reapply them in time, it will prevent you from starting from the beggining again lol.
