Hey everyone, I made it to level 48 on DRK before i quit FF last time. Most of my experience was related to vanilla ffxi, but i did get to set my home in whitegate before i left (a friend took me through the quest). I was just starting to catch on to the whitegate stuff, and now I hear everything has changed with abyss stuff...so now im completely lost again. People dont do 6 man parties anymore? So...anyone help catch me up a bit. I see people talking about stones of some sort for the abyss content, but im not sure what thats about. Worst part is they have websensed the ffxiencyclopedia at my work so i cant even try to do research. You are my only hope obi-wan(s)...lol

People still do 6-man parties, they just tend to be a little harder to find as you get closer to the levels where you can realistically contribute to an Abyssea party(~75).Server: Midgardsormr -> Quetzalcoatl -> Valefor

After 75, people tend to do exp in Abyssea in alliances, since the old-world group size penalty doesn't apply there. Pretty much anything in Abyssea will be done from low-man up to a full 18 depending on what you're fighting, with the only exception being the Shinryu fight limited to 6.Elwynn @ Fairy Elwynbelwyn @ Sylph | PS2 PC

well logged on last night, redid all my macros with the guides from the DRK section (awesome job there) and headed out to get my AF scythe...just to have it. someone from an old LS helped me, i got it. woke up this morning ran to east altepa to try to grind on some crabs and got killed by a giant in the tunnels...and deleveled. Ahhh thats how FFXI welcomes you back. with a hug and a punch in the mouth. I love you, you abusive game.lolComment
