Am I pretty much SOL on parties post-30?

I've been reading up on this alot and it seems to be the case. I won't be able to get Abyssea for quite a few months and now it seems like it's even harder to form parties now than it used to be unless you're in Abyssea. Is this true?

soloing has become much better, who said you have to party?

try to get into a PT, if you cant, then solo some, better then standing there doing nothing.

Depends on the people on the server. There are still some of us that are interested in actually playing the game instead of just sitting there.

No. The recent patch has drastically improved non-Abyssea exp, making more players willing to do it rather than wait around for an opportunity to leech, but in addition, even if you're over 30, you can still level sync to parties that are 10-30.

Last night I went to Qufim and gained three levels -- nothing special about that, except that the levels were 55, 56, and 57. In 3 or so hours. (I started out with about 4k tnl, but still.) We had to change sync people after an hour or two or we would have leveled out of the zone completely, and then eventually disbanded when our *second* sync person hit 25.

When my emperor band was still in effect I got 897 exp from one crab (I think it was chain #2, maybe #3). So you could probably break 1000 with anniversary or Kupofried's.

cancel for month or two, play something else, return with money for it?

Do a favor for some guy?

Plenty of ways to come up with the money easily.

Not at all.

Even before the recent patch that made non-Abyssea exp pretty awesome, folks were still building parties in Vana'diel proper. A lot of it will still be syncs to bird parties, but there's plenty of folks who are leveling outside Abyssea.

EXP has changed that much? thats....alot of EXP..... *glances over at FFXI box*....uuummmm...Q@@#$#$# damn you SE -.-

I cant beleve they did this after I stopped playing and ALMOST lost all interest in FFXI......
