It's very easy getting around Windurst. It's the only city in FFXI with a public transportation system.

Every nation has the quest that (upon completion) allows you to enter your MH and exit to any other area in that nation. Even Jeuno.

I did all three nations so I was stuck in each one for several months and honestly, I preferred Windurst to Bastok. If only because I had shitty terrible luck and constantly ended up getting cockblocked by the damn drawbridge for the airship which by the way is a fucking airship so it should have been able to like, I don't know, take off and be in the fucking air before it got to the damn bridge in the first place. FANTASY GAME motherfuckers, why was this even necessary. Lol.

San d'Oria's worse because it's made of giant hallways, so you can't just go in a straight line from point A to point B.

But Bastok's fucking drawbridge is definitely the worst.

Killing pixies really not a good idea because :

They are pretty and nice and love all players, they also won't aggro you unless you aggro them first.
[however be aware that at higher levels in some places these self-same pixies can turn into foul loathsome monsters who take a full party to beat, usually though in most starter areas they are your friend]

If they fly near you when you have been ko'd they will more often than not raise you.[if being raised ensure no mobs that will aggro within reach otherwise you'll have to homepoint and lose loads of exp]
Ditto if you have suffered damage they will throw a Cure can be up to IV at you.
Try and learn their flightpath so that you can fight within it in case you ever need their tender ministrations.

There was only one reason to kill pixies, and I'm highly doubting people even bother with it anymore, but Dark Ixion, a WoTG HNM, requires an item that drops only off pixies in order to claim it. Since the level cap increase, though, I'm not entirely sure people fight Ixion anymore.

Then again, I have no idea one way or the other.

Welcome Back! I was on all yesterday as well. I didn't see you... o.O!

Anywho. My LS kinda dissolved over the weekend. A lot of my members decided that now that they learned from me, they didn't need me anymore and defected to various other LS's. Although it's sad to see them leave the nest, it had to happen. We only have 4 active members atm. I do however, plan to keep everyone who looks me up on my F List in case they ever have a question. Definately look me up in game and I'll help you whenever I can \(^_^)/. In fact, if you've unlocked Abyssea and have started recieving stones from Joachim, I'm taking 2 people into Abyssea tomorrow morning at 9:00am EST to kill tonberries for the Abyssite that lowers the cooldown time on stones. You're welcome to come if you like!
