Returning Player Request Guideline

So, I am a new/returning player. During past times, I never got into FF11 due to finances, but this time I am sticking to it.
So my question is as follow:

As a new character, what should I do?where should I start? I just read about the tutorial quests, so I will probably do them, but then what?

And most of those are off the very first page of New Player Resources. Please look around the forums or use the Search feature (linked here or at the top of the page). This has been asked a LOT of times and there are answers out there, you just have to spend the time skimming for them. Then if you have any specific questions, that you can't find an answer for, feel free to ask.

Exploring, looting and pillaging. Oh and maybe some quests if you take the time to interact with the NPCs.

Most important thing you can do though is find a linkshell to hang out with.

Btw, Avguste, dont get discouraged if you can't find any parties in the beginning. Techncially, if you're not a mage job low on the melee scale, you can solo til your 19 without having to party in Valkurm Dunes. The game is MUCH MUCH easier these days!
