THF/WAR: Nice for damage, but THFs are often asked to pull, so using Ninja (/NIN) for support job (SJ) for damage mitigation via Utsusemi is a good idea. You can unlock NIN at Lv.30, though may need some help from higher level players. (I don't remember the details; been too long.)
RNG/THF: Pretty worthless combination in party, though it can work for farming very weak critters. RNG/WAR provides great damage Lv.30 and up, but you'd probably end up getting yourself killed often. RNG24 and above should use /NIN.
WAR/MNK: Very nice low level tank, but WAR/NIN makes efficient co-tank or backup tank Lv.24 and up. Again, /NIN is useful for pulling as well.
PLD/WAR: The standard exp tank. If you like PLD, though, unlock Ninja, since PLD/NIN is the most used endgame tanking combination.
The thing about /NIN besides pulling is that it's useful for any DD who can do enough damage to pull the monster off of the tank. At lower levels where the MP pools are small and the MP recovery options are few, the ability to completely negate damage for a few hits (up to 6 in a row, if you're decent at casting Ususemi: Ichi) can make a huge difference.
At higher levels where parties practically refuses to get more than one healer no matter what, /NIN again can make the difference between good (non-stop fighting) and bad exp (frequent downtime for MP, or even KO or wipes).
Other than Ninja, you should unlock DNC and level that up to 49 (or 50) eventually, since you seem interested in many front line jobs; it makes soloing weaker monsters (such as for FoV) a lot easier. Samurai is a situational SJ for WAR and RNG at high levels, so keep that in your plans if you want to take either WAR or RNG to 75 and beyond.
