Reroll still changes servers?

If I delete a character and create a new one, does he still stay on that server the other was on? Or is it a new server for each character? Thanks, gents ^^
I seem to remember them changing it, but I can't even remember now haha.

Oh and if there was a server recommendation for building a new char, that would be tops! The server my last guy was on was completely devoid of any lowgame

You can choose what server to create your character on.

Unless it's closed to new characters, of course. Are there still closed servers right now?

Bahamut is still closed, and I believe Odin is as well.

Last I heard, there were no plans on opening either of them anytime soon.
