New/Looking for a people

Hey everyone,
I'm completely new to FFXI as I'm sure quite a few people are with the ultimate collection hitting stores/steam. I've been playing for about a day now but I can't seem to find anyone... anywhere. I play on Leviathan, is the server pop really low there or is Vana'diel just wayyy bigger than I thought. I'd be willing to switch servers for a group of friendly people who could teach me a little about the game.

Everyone left the starter cities and is either in Jeuno or Whitegate. The server likely isn't empty, but the game is so top heavy that the beginner population is almost non-existent. Try doing "/sea all" and see how many folks pop up.
