    Re: Opinions Needed and Appreciated

Well, since you are lvl 23, and have a sub..... I guess you have been playing for more than 2 weeks since you started. So I doubt that is why you are getting Fatiged. It has nothing to do with skill level either. Maybe contacting a GM in game will help you figure out why you are getting fatiged.

      Re: Opinions Needed and Appreciated

I may have to. I already have blm leveled to 17 and whm is 23 so yeah, if 20 is the cap for preventing gilsellers then I should be past it. Though I've been fishing in bastok markets, and someone told me a few days back that some areas need time to respawn fish...so I'm not sure if that's the case or what. Should I try an outdoor zone for fishing up moat carp?

You can try and outside zone, but if you are in bastok (Nation wise), then the closest place you can fish is in the ocean outside of Bastok. If you head to San d'Oria, then you can head outside, and fish in the river in East or West Ronfuraru (I know, its completly misplelled lol). You can also head to Windurst, but that can be a pain to get to with out using the chocobos. Anywhere in Windurst you can fish, and out side East Sarabuta (I think maybe west), there is a pond that you can fish in. In either side, there is a river you can also fish. At 23, I think you can fish in Qufim Island at the pond, just be careful of ghosts though, they will kill you with out a second thought. Usually theres a higher lvl Rdm, Whm, Sch, Pld, or some such there Powerlevling a group, so ghosts shouldn't be much of an issue.

So there are quite a few places you can fish, and test to see if that is the reason why you are having issues catching more than 10 fish.

Thanks Takelli, I owe you a great deal for the help man. I just did a bit of reading and it seems, though nothing I read said for sure, that the indoor zones do seem to need to respawn after a certain time/so many fish fished. Outdoors might be what I have to do. Worth a shot atleast. Until that pans out I can always do some research on what sells well on my server's bastok AH and try to farm a bit and such.

Do not use the AH in a nation if you are selling fish. Use the Jeuno AH, if you want to.

A good site is Final Fantasy XI Auction House - FFXIAH.com It will have the prices of stuff sold, and updated every so many minutes.

I cant stand doing fishing, so I do not know what sells, and what doesn't. You will need to do reserch on that. Fishing can be VERY profitable when you get your issue fixed. Hope your issue gets fixed.

And, I think I know what they guy was talking about fish Repopping. I was looking up chocobo digging on the wiki. Every zone has X items in it, and X items respawn every so many minutes. If a zone is over dug, you will get nothing. But, I do not think that applies to fishing.

It does make sense though. It's times like this I wish I had a laptop here at work so I can test things out as I find out about lol. My OCD kicks in and I spend the rest of the day dazing out making mental lists of things to try/do once I get back home. Oh well I'm almost certain I'll live and if not, well there goes the fish issue eh? If you don't fish for money what do you do or would you suggest at my level? Farming common things like beehive chips?

                Re: Opinions Needed and Appreciated

At lvl 23, there isn't much you can really do to farm.

For Behive Chips, youc an go into the Giddeus, and kill bees, they drop chips/honey, which can make you a decent amount of money if sold on the AH.

There is a quest in Northern Sandoria that uses 2 bat wings (I think its 2), and you can trade them to a guy. He is standing on the wooden plateform. Walking towards Nothern Sandoria, from teh Mog house will bring you into the guild area, and you can talk tot he guy on teh plateform. Or, you can just sell them on the Ah.

Next to the leather crafter guild, there is a guy that will give you money and fame for three rabbit hides in southern sandoria. Or you can sell on the AH as before.

You can craft (Cooking is REALLY cheap and fast to lvl 60), and you can make good money that way.

No problem. I'm not really doing anything at this moment, so just keep on asking lol. I'm kinda just trying to kill time atm while I look for my D&D book. XD

lol I wish I lived in an area where people still played D&D. I don't feel like driving 3+ hours to find a game going on. I'm just killing time at work till I can get home and back on FFXI. I hope FFXIV doesn't kill this game when it comes out next year.

Well FFXI, and FFXIV are going to be two completly different games with different play styles and such.

Well, not many people in my area play D&D either. I just found a place that MIGHT play it on tuesday nights. But I will have to wait and see. Going to be headed there shortly though lol.

Oh, BTW what city do you live in? If you live in Manchester C.T., the grid might be holding a D&D game today around 6 PM EST.

Mississippi, so yeah not many games going on here lol. And I need to read up on FFXIV. Only heard about it from a linkshell member last night. Personally I prefer this game. It has everything I love, no questing to level, social grouping interaction, and a involved, interesting story line. Once I get the mony problem solved it'll be a stress free, very fun way to waste my life lol.

Ah. You can try Yahoo groups for the gameing. Might be able to find a Dm on there, and start up a game. Or try the wizards site. They might have a list of places that do D&D.

As for the non questing level up. If you have WoTG, you can do that, but its not really that much. You can also get items (pages) that give you exp, but other than that, leveling is a pure grind, and party.

I will be joining FFXIV when it comes out, and try it. If I like it, I will unsubscribe from FFXI. It will be party based, but you can also solo. I do like the idea of having quests to help you level. Like you don't want to party, or do much for that day, so you do a "Exp" quest, and you get exp from the quest. But other than that, questing shouldn't be needed to level like it is in WoW.
