    Ordered FFXI the other day

    Installation went perfectly, my reg key worked, BUT
    it gave me the "server busy or card invalid error" with all three of my cards, two mc, the other visa.
    I know I entered my info correctly, tried multiple times throughout the day.
    No luck
    So...anyone know a fix? my cards are valid, hell, i used the first to buy this lol...
    granted I can't think of another reason...but.. <.>

    Thank you for your time, hoping I can get started sooner then later :/

    As far as I know, they're doing registration server maintenance at the moment. They seem to do it about the same time at the end of every month. Unfortunately for you that means waiting a few days before you can sign up.

    Bummer eh.

    Use these last few hours to enjoy your real life; if FFXI swallows you up like it does some people, you won't have one left.

      What platform are you on? If you're on Xbox360 it's because the Live service is down for maintenance tonight.

        I'm on pc, and that was my guess, but wasn't totally sure, as I figured if the server was down I wouldn't even be able to get to that point.

          ffxi consumed my life now, i started last week, i am now on it every waking momment im at home and yeah ffxi gives a message to me before it starts up saying they are doin some work on it, and creating new account or deleting wont work for a few days, go out, anjoy the real world a bit one last time, this will consume u

            Maybe it's just me. It's a good game, and all.
            But to have it consume you and have you not care about your real life/friends...
            Just seems weak minded.

              I don't think its that you "Don't care" about your real life/friends, I think its more like you get tied down for time, especially when you get to end game and have a bunch of different event linkshells, CoP/Zilart/Aht Urgan/Dynamis/Mythic(Nyzul)/Assault/Sea/Sky. That's when your time gets cramped because if you don't participate they may decide to pass your spot to somebody else and you end up missing out on your drop that you've been trying to get for ages. I hear lvl 75's in my LS all the time saying, "Just stopped in for a minute and I'm out to Dynamis and then Assault." Its like you have to fit events into your real life schedule.

                Haha I'm pretty much addicted, whenever I have time to myself, I spend it playing FFXI xS
