  • I got some questions

I'm an upcoming FFXI player, I will be getting a job soon, and I got a couple questions.

    1) Can I pay with a Visa Giftcard? If so, how much do I need to put it in before I play it.

    2) Should I get it for 360 or PC?

    3) Is the community good? Like many players?

And those are my questions so far.

    Re: I got some questions

Thread moved to the right section of the forums.

Welcome to FFXIO, let me see if I can answer some of your questions.

    1) Yes you can use a Visa or Mastercard gift card. The monthly fee is $12.95.

    2) That is really a personal choice. The game is exactly the same on either system. You can also use a controller on the PC if that is an issue.

    3) Well at the current time there are 500,000 accounts for FFXI. Some servers have a larger population but all servers are exactly the same content.

      Re: I got some questions

1- Yes, it's 13$ a month to start, and another $1 for every extra content ID (character, basically, for NA)

2- It is personal preference, but in general PC is better. It gives you more abilities in terms of graphics, as well as modifications (although those are discouraged) and the ability to use things like Model Viewer and screen capture programs (which are relatively encouraged). SE has also talked about a graphics update, but they haven't brought that up in a long time.

3- In terms of population, SE balances the servers as needed. They have split servers, combined servers, created new servers, and so on to try to keep a good balance of players on each.
